It's €32,50 here, pretty good value. Wouldn't spend more than €40 on it myself.
Yes, that's typical SoCal prices... I rather like it and think its worth it!

Yes is legit.
It’s barrel store pick by 58 wine in New York. They also have a batman bottle for eagle rare that was released early this year.

I was fortunate enough to pick up a 12yr at retail last month. I'm guessing the 35 is in the ballpark of $5k.

Also last month, I though I hit the jackpot at duty free in Jakarta; they had stacks of Yamazaki 18yr; too bad they were ~$2k each.. here I was naively thinking that most duty free establishments hovered around retail.

The 25yr is about $10k now. There may be 5-10 35yr bottles in the world right now. They only made them one year, 2004. The location is London, 2018.

The 25 is my favorite whiskey. You can see the difference in color below, at the Yamazaki distillery. I recommend traveling there for a tasting. I believe ~$50 for a good helping, compared with paying retail. I couldn’t taste the difference between the 12 and 18 but the 25 was serene.

But back to guessing the 35 :).

Ok, it was quoted as $100k for the bottle at the time, in 2019. I can only imagine it’s grown a lot since then.

TBH I think I’d rather have a 35yr Yamazaki than a 5711 hahaha

Anyone try High West Rendezvous Rye recently? I’ve heard they now use some of their own distillate, and online reviews seem mostly positive but slightly mixed - though it is a close cousin to Midwinter Night Dram. Also heard they are moving Rendezvous to a limited annual release.

Well, I found a HW Rendezvous Rye, batch 19 on discount so I picked it up. Given this is similar to the most recent Midwinter Nights Dram (minus the port cask finish), I figure can’t go wrong at nearly a third of the cost of MWND. Apparently the new releases of Rendezvous Rye (and thus MWND) will use more and more of their own young distillate.
