Leo, I'll do that. I wasn't sure about the 3-6-9 visually. I seem to gravitate to a uniform dial, either all dots, numbers, or sticks. Must be the boring side of me. Lol. Ok, maybe the "classic & simple" side of me. Lol. I don't know how to explain all the other personalities that come out. I should have been named Sybil.

Is there a history with the 3-6-9? Many folks here make reference to their particular watch having the 3-6-9 dial.

Anyone on TRF have a blue dial Auto Colt. II they want to get rid of? About 2007-2009 age? I did post on WTB section. I don't think that section gets a lot of traffic.

Art, that plate would be fun on your car, especially if it says UK on it.

Think the 3-6-9 dial started with the explorer in 1953. Also appeared on some Mil subs. I love em.

Leo, been honing my short game at Moby Adventure golf. Hopefully it will give me the edge when I join the PGA tour, where they don't have to battle whales and pirate ships. Although my 3 year old nephew beat me on a few holes, so more practice needed.

Judy, News Flash...I goofed, looked at my wife's 177200 and the 3, 6, 9, are in white gold and then all the stick markers are pink which then glow in the dark. But the 3, 6, and 9 do not glow in the dark. Also the diameter of the watch is smaller I believe if memory serves me it is 34mm!!!

Take care Sybil.....Leo

Wes, just force the PGA Tour to listen to your recommendations to change the rules so all putting must be done on a PeeWee Miniature Golf Course and then a tag team is allowed and send your nephew in to putt!!!

Take care.....Leo

Wes..LOL Keep practicing your short strokes.

LOL Leo..I tried on the 34mm...it looks small now compared to my DJ. I'm sticking with the 36mm.

Art...you got me thinking of that 16613.

Anyone know when the 16613 was discontinued or production stopped? G serial?
If anyone knows a link, can you post it. I've been doing a search here & there are a lot of posts..

Thanks all..

Edited: On further digging....found the answer...16613 d/c in 2009.

Posted a thread in the general section.... Decided to not pursue the Sub idea. I would most likely do a YM before a TT Sub as I want white metal only.

So because of the abundance of water in the aera I have mosquitos in my bed room... I can't think of anything more annoying than that buzzing noise.

Time to get some deet and maybe even a mosquitonet.

Bas...do you have screens on your windows? Is there an open area they're coming in from? Seems odd to have them inside to that degree you have to wear deet & a mosquito net! West Nile is still around...please be careful.

No screens but the house owner will take care of that.
I slept the past few nights with an extra pillow on my head to stop being annoyed by the buzzing noise which sort of works but it's not a long time solution.

This week I'll just wear deet at night to stop them from approaching me at all so I can get some proper sleep since school is starting tomorrow.
I'll get a mosquito net this weekend when I'm back home, this will allow me to sleep without any problems and have my windows open (I really love my fresh air)

They need to get screens on the windows! Can you get to a hardware store & buy some screen? Perhaps staple some around a frame & stick it in the window? I have done this in the past. It works. LMAO Doesn't look very professional but hey, it worked. LOL Was a short term solution. I dont like bugs in the house myself. Swatting at flying insects around my head while I'm trying to sleep is not what I consider fun bedtime activity.

Have a great day all...off to enjoy an overcast / occasionally sunny day.

No hardware shop in my town unfortunately, the nearest one is about 35km from here.

I'm off to school, first day

We started off with sawing small brass plates and filing the edges straight and smooth again, quite a lot harder than I thought I guess everyone will need a lot of practice with this in order to master it.
