Wes, Thanx.....I'm lookin' prepared and ready for the Holidays' coming up...just incase it might be a good idea to have a Saint Bernard with those small barrels of liquor around their necks, filled with Drambuie for those cold nights!!!
The spot or two or three from the barrel should go nicely with the pain patches I am on...but someone else will have drive the Sled...I do not plan on being pulled over and arrested and charged with a D.U.I. Btw. here in America, I live in the State of Illinois, I do not see a category for driving a Sled.....Uh!!! Okay time for the first shot glass of Drambuie with at least two fingers, preferably 4 finger's worth poured in!!! Take care.....Leo

Just 60 years of observing and interacting with children...all children like me from the "Git-go" cause I do not talk down to them but with them. I engage them in conversation, spend timw with them and find out their likes and dislikes..... All children are born with the ability of perception and will study and observe their surroundings and know if someone is inherently good or bad. But by the time they have heard "NO" for the 10 millionth time(by the age of 2 or 3) and parents drilling "Stranger Danger" into their minds...which is a "necessary evil nowadays" because their are more mentally unstable people. Children loose their innocence and ability to naturally select and feel their way through a situation..... Take care and be good.....Leo

Just taking a little break from that at the moment, Bas. Tons of girls hassling me for for dates and such, can be a bit tiresome. You know how it is.
How you doing, living on your own and schooling? Are you going back to stay at parents for xmas. |

Yes I'll be spending the next 2.5 weeks at home, I love living on my own but I'm really looking forward to the holidays. I'm not dating anyone either, I just can't see myself in a relationship, at least not at this point in my life, I am a solitary person. |

Hmmm.... Carl is giving love advice? I need to schedule a couch session!! LOL Unless he's teaching something different altogether? And only to Wes?
Carl..snow has been melting d/t our mild temperatures here. Not sure how long that will last but is gladly appreciated! I don't think we're getting snow this week & I hope nothing for Christmas. I am not one to have to have a white Christmas especially if I'm driving 45 min. (if no traffic to my brother's in Milton). I'm bringing my PJ's in case it snows! Plus I love waking up with the kids. What are everyone's plans this holiday season? I'll be heading to my brothers 45 min from where I live. Not far & I travel that road often on a normal basis. The kids are more fun now that they are getting older & I love staying over at my brothers. Morning is a lot of fun. :-) Looks like Christmas for us is Dec.27th as my brother is working the 24-25-26th. When you work shifts, & work holidays, well, we gotta make it when we can. My cousin asked me to housesit for her from Dec.23rd to 27th so works out perfect. Her house is in High Park, a very nice section of Toronto. Only thing her street is total biiatch! Last year I had to shovel half the road & driveway to get in. Is a very steep road. High Park is known for the hills & valleys though. All in all, will be a calming few days alone. :-) Bas, I see you're heading home for a couple weeks. SO glad your studies are going well & you enjoy them. :-) What about anyone else? Who needs Christmas present ideas? You better hurry! I went to Tiffany to purchase a pendant/chain for my sister in law as a request for my brother since he couldnt get to Tiffany. The locket pendants are being discontinued & can only be ordered online till they are sold out. They said would take 7 days, the pendant came in 3 days! Wild. It was a silver locket so not that expensive. Great customer service regardless of how inexpensive it was. SO..FYI...if you want a Tiffany Locket..silver...they are being discontinued even though the website doesn't list this. Seems a lot of items are on the chopping block. They must be planning a slew of new shite next year. Anyway....all the best to you guys! My shopping is DONE!! PS..my favourite colour is blue & my favourite number is 3. I enjoy all metals & all gems, preferring diamonds. In case anyone wants to play Secret Santa. |

Howdy And a Merry X-mas to all my friends in the Girl's CS.....
Bas, enjoy your time at home this Christmas Season...nothing like going home to visit the parents and any siblings who might be home as well..... Wes, how about you...are you spending the Holiday's with your parents? You have great taste so what did you buy your Mom and Dad??? Both you and Judy have great taste so let me know if you need my shirt size(Men's Medium or if it's running on the large size, a Small); Pants size is about a 28" or 29" waist/(71.12-73.66cm. and approximately Size 27"/68.58cm for the Inseam)I have been losing weight again and am struggling to stay above and around 100lbs/45.36Kilograms). If Jewelry anything would be great.....one item I've been looking for is a round, Peace symbol in Sterling Silver to carry in my pocket(to remind me of the Late 1960's and the Peace movement with the Marches, Demonstrations and Sit-Ins at College Administration buildings); I like the Heart's On Fire branded diamonds in a ring probably Size 6 or so(I have very small hands and wrists, my Glove size is a Woman's XS as I like them to fit without the fingertips flapping around; also a Leather Bracelet would be nice with my Wrist Size being 6.00" to 6.25"/15.24cm to15.87cm. I would and will not ask for a Watch as those are way too expensive even if we were to be talking about a Casio G-Shock...Thanx/Merci beaucoup!!! Thank You and take care.....Leo

Judy, you are the Aunt all children dream about having...you are kind, gentle, spend time with your nieces and nephews and kind of/sort of bends the Parents' rules!!!
How is your wrist doing? is it better or does it look like surgery will be necessary in 2015??? If you need gift ideas...see my "Santa's List" above in my suggestions I gave Wes!!! Now don't be bashful or shy...if the two of you want to go in together on a gift for me that would be great...Thanx in advance!!! LOL!!! We will be spending the Holidays' here at home...I was given my dream gift(which in reality is the best gift a Parent could receive)when our son was offered and accepted a New Position/Job in the Chicago Suburbs with a new company. The company is called GOGO and their Product(s) is the designing of and installation of Proprietary Software and Hardware for Airline Companies in offering their Clients/Passengers' WiFi Access while traveling up in the " Friendly skies," He was offered a job in the Marketing Department(at their Corporate Headquarter's) and received a Salary compensation which was 21% over his previous position with Windstream at their Corporate Headquarter's in Little Rock, Arkansas.... Take care and Merry christmas.....Leo

Great news about your son Leo, big congrats to him. Will he have to move to be nearer the job, maybe nearer to You? It was my last day at work yesterday before xmas Normally I seem to be working right unto xmas eve, but just the way my shift fell this year. So gonna relax, got some drinks planned tomorrow night with work colleagues. Leo, not sure if I'm having dinner round my parents, or brothers this year. There might be dinner at both, shall see. |

Wes, the Firm will be moving into the City Limits of Chicago sometime next year in the Business District and then he can commute in on the "Blue Line L-Train." I had suggested moving into Oak Park, Illinois(also the train ride is only a commute of about 5-6 miles) because the housing is less expensive then living in the city. The building he is renting in has off-street parking(big enough to park two cars) for the rental of $75.00 a month which is added into his monthly rent payment. He is renting a one bedroom apartment and the building, built in the early 1920's, has been converted from radiator heat in each unit to now having central forced-air heat and central air-conditioning come Summer. They allow pets and he has an enclosed large porch or Sun room, as it faces South, off the living room.....
Of course you know I'm kidding about getting a Christmas gift but if you need my address shoot me a PM.....LOL!!! That's great having the days off at this time of the year. Pam has work tomorrow then she is off work using Vacation time for the next two weeks...wish me luck...but if you hear about a Park Forest, 'Suburbanite' going "Postal," I'll contact TRF when they let me use a computer..... As for X-mas Dinner(s)good luck and maybe wear sweat pants just in case!!! Take care.....Leo

LOL You know, next year, we really should do a Secret Santa for this little group here. Would be lovely I think. Nothing expensive but thoughtful. Then post pics of us opening our gifts. LOL Is such a sweet idea.
Leo...I do get angry with the kids cause they can be whiny & they know when they've pushed me too far. Tomorrow I'm taking my nephew to get new skis & boots for his 3rd season. I hope he co-operates trying on the boots. I think tomorrow I might have to bribe him. I just need to get this done. LOL Oh this is a cute story. Last week I babysat them on Friday night. So after picking up my nephew from school he says he's hungry & wants a snack. Well..I needed to pick up my niece from daycare & snacktime ran into dinner time. I posed the question if they wanted to go out for dinner or home to order a pizza. Immediately my nephew pipes up that he wanted to go to the "Deer Restaurant for Ribs". My niece was good with Pizza. Off we trotted to Montana's Cookhouse. Why my nephew calls it a the Deer restaurant is cause the commercials have a Deer & a Moose talking to each other & their heads (fake ones) are mounted on the wall. On the way there I laughed & called my nephew a carnivore. He got whiney & sensitive telling me not to call him names. LMAO I was laughing while I was driving which they couldnt see. I said you daddy is a carnivore too. So my little 3 yr old neice pipes up in her munchkin voice "don't call my daddy names, he is not a carnivore". By this point I was dying of laughter which only annoyed my nephew even more. My niece takes her cues from her brother because even if he has no clue, she has less of a clue. LOL Was SO funny. He got his Ribs, she got her pizza & they drew pictures all over the paper table cloth with the free crayons. It was actually a very fun dinner. I guess the moral of the story is don't call my brother a carnivore & I can actually keep them controlled when I need to. LOL However, I do have to admit that when I let them do stuff, I follow up by.."don't tell your parents, its out secret"..LMAO I might have had a monkey wrench thrown in to my Christmas present to my brother. I was all set to buy him a Macbook Pro next week because with electronics, is best to buy as late as possible & they always have them in stock. During my conversation with my bro a couple days ago he said that his his new job was providing Samsung Tablets for travel & buying Microsoft Surface pro because of the flexibility & the programs they're running. He also mentioned that the Surface Pro was also his to use as his own computer. I suppose I don't need to buy him the Macbook Pro after all. I dont know. I keep thinking, if I have the money for it this year. I should. But then if he doesn't need it, & can use the company one, why bother...I can save $2K. Some food for thought. If he has a computer through work anyway, I think that $2K can be allocated elsewhere. Hiiiiiiiiiiii Basel 2015...or hiiiiiii new pendant or earings or ring etc... Some thinking to do for sure. :-D Stay warm out there. My freaking NEW car starter has been malfunctioning & I've cornered the guy to replace the unit. Monday cant come soon enough! My butt gets cold sitting in a freeing cold un-warmed car! :-( Bye all!! |

Judy, what a great story...children are sure fun at that young age. They tell the truth as they haven't learned how to lie yet especially if there is not an older sibling in the home or older neighborhood kids who they hang around with when outside playing.....
I remember when I would take Ben somewhere and buy him unhealthy snacks as treats or give him something like potato chips that we had in the house.....I would tell him it's our little secret and not to tell his Mother. As soon as she would get home from work he would go and tattle on me. He did this up until he entered High school...go figure!!! Then they grow up...and they still can be a pain in the ass...he just like his Mother(they're both Scorpios)comes home from work all, stressed out and they take it out on me... I'm sooooooo.....lucky??? Take care.....Leo

Merry Christmas, Happy holidays to everyone. Here's to health & happiness.
Thank you Wes for the lovely song. The falling snow was a super touch. The boys must have had fun if you were exhausted. Thanks for the pictures. I go through the exhaustion too. Then I cant wait to do it all over again! I decided to go with a different series of Imaginext for my nephew. I'm curious to know what you think of it. |
