Oh my the Coffee Shop.... it was never meant as a girls only space thank God!
But it’s been a Safe space where conversations between all people can comfortably happen. It’s great that this coffee shop is still open for business! SG- that’s horrible about your husbands fall ... but I guess that’s the nature of the beast when racing motorcycles so you’re right that it could have been a lot worse ! I hope your racing angels keep you safe . That’s just such an amazing passion- the need for speed ! You have a fearless and confident heart I think ! JTL- in absolutely no way did you show pompousness when talking about your watches or AD relationship!! I know what you’re meaning I think ; I have had a very friendly repore with my ADs sales associate Over the years and - it’s not just about making deals and purchasing watches! I am on friendly terms , meaning I can drop by whenever and say hi and talk watches and dream .... no buying necessary! What was it like trying on that platinum Daytona...... it’s supposed to be very heavy!!! |

Janet that's a very clever display! We go through lots of La Croix!
Bas, hang in there Pal. Hope all have a nice long weekend. My brother and family are coming from Pennsylvania and coming to see us today along with my Son and his wife from Jacksonville, some other family and my parents who live down the street from us in Orlando. We are looking forward to this and Michelle has cooked up some very good food! Tomorrow we and our little dog head off to Vero Beach for a few days. Our beloved Sarasota has some red tide issues so Atlantic Ocean here we come. Be safe, all! |

It’s September 3 2018. One year ago I married my True Love on Lido Beach , Sarasota. I met him in thIs Coffee Shop in October 2012.Neither of us were on the hunt for someone new ... but Fate had different ideas. Somehow... someway ... Art and I overcome excruciating challenges and our reward is - being able to spend the rest of our lives together. There’s something to the Soul Mate concept. It’s not a myth. Happy Labor Day weekend all- hoping you’re all keeping safe and sound! |

He turns 74 this Oct Seems like love is in the air - |

Now don’t go putting the cart b4the horse here I’m in a unique place right now that ...I don’t think it would possibly work...even if he was a fantabulous kinda guy I MIGHT need your help to validate my posts as I hope to string it along a little more I have hard copies to prove all my posts thus far This may end up blowing Jockes & Paul’s banter out of the water My hope is to keep the guessing game going a little b4 I disclose my identity & true occupation At the same time...I don’t want it to get too crazy and hurt Paul’s or jockes feelings |

This specific post was submitted w/another idea in mind. I was trying to 1st see if I could have TRF’ers chase around to other threads, thus ultimately revealing other posts I created if that makes sense. In no way was I implying I really wanted to meet him...I was bantering w/Bas via the coffee shop - Get it?? BAS - thanks for playing along buddy. Sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. Hang in there |

I was on my way today to my mom's and i decided to stop by the LV store and finally look at some purses.
They've discontinued my favorite model (luco), and online i've seen one or two that i liked, so i thought i'll look in person. Well, one of those other two is now discontinued too (kimono) and meh, i really didn't like the rest. I do love the neverful shape, but HATE the thin straps and that it doesn't have a zipper. Really, sure, it can hold 250lbs, but you wont' have any skin on your shoulder LOL I'm quite proud of myself that i walked out, because i didn't like anything enough. Good girl!!!!!!!!!! I also stopped by a Rolex and Omega AD and tried on the Speedmaster. Again. One day i will get one :-) I thought waiting on the daytona would be easier LOL Yesterday i went to the race track to see some friends. I miss that life :) And husband is on the way home, from California! He loved the SD area! Oh and we had a shitty weather. typical Laborday in chicagoland. ewwwwww

Good Monning Coffee Shop,
LOVE this thread - glad it was created. I have a bond w/ all my coffee & watch buffs now. Yet the similarities of everything is just way too ironic!!!!! What a GREAT combo, huh? * The science buff in me is like, “Wow, holy cow - I’d LUV to hear more about BAS’ training schedule &nutritional habits to cover those kinda miles (former runner here - mostly walk these days though). OMG, what amazing core body strength & reaction time SG must have to race motorcycles! DM - you are totally spot on w/your traveling foods. My food guide pyramid ex. failed to include protein & healthy fats. MICHELLE - I LOVED playing tennis growing up. Looked up to Chrissy Everet for her playing skills & professionalism. AND I too LOVED the SS/Plat.yachty. That’s what led me to the AD last Summer. Funny yet true happenstance- Well - given that I’m a public figure of sorts & I watch spotted the yachty on TV by a figure I want NO connection with I went w/the DJ and LVc. Both significant pieces - but blew away my piggy bank for now - hehe - The AD connection was twofold! Watches & kiddos. We hit it off immediately. It was fun; we’ve developed a unique relationship (kinda like the TRF folks). Great forum. Did JJ start this or was it a collaboration of folks? I’m just assuming that JJ made a very impactful presence on this forum. AND SG - you & hubby have a connection w/me as well - what are the friggin’ odds of all this. Lol lol I too had life altering injuries that totally changed my world. I LOVED your comment re- estro-fest. That’s PERFECT This morning was hilarious yet mind blowing. Will be discussed in the other thread, INSOMNIA. Have a GREAT day ALL coffee lovers |

Hi All,
SG - I went shopping too recently - have been losing a bit of weight lately (woohoo) So I went to one of the outlet malls by me. Strange...I came home with a pr. of uggs & coach wallet. Don’t recall my feet shrinking with the weight loss thing but I have a cool lil’ wallet. The Batman watch would pair well with it - {sigh} |

Good morning Janet 😀 JJ was an amazing presence on the Rolex Forum ; he didn’t start the Coffee Shop ; a lady named Elaine did - what a brilliant and long lasting thread it’s been! I came into the Coffee Shop a couple of years after it started, and it’s been a haven of sorts - different from all the other threads/ chat rooms out there ! Enjoy your day today 😀 |

I agree with Janet - would love to hear about some of your watch repair adventures! You have an amazing career there. Have you ever connected with Carl on this forum (feeling the blues); he was studying watch repair back in 2012-13. |

Thank you for the well wishes! I to am a fellow insomniac LOL; that’s why I wear my yachty to bed; I’m not tossing and turning wondering what time it is . One little glance at my lumed up dial and I can often set my brain to sleep another couple of hours... I read your purse store adventures; oh my I’d have a hard time walking away empty handed to ! ( congratulations! Now go out and treat yourself to an indulgence !) |

I did more digging. My favorite one wasn't luco, it's cabas piano. I found a pre-loved one yesterday in a great shape, but in my excitement, i got the bigger size. So, now i have the get the smaller one too, right? :D i can't believe they discontinued that one. To me, that was the absoutely perfect purse. Off to another day of adventures (i mean work) Have a wonderful day ladies and gents!
