A pleasure to meet you as well

I've been here since early this year looking for an anniversary present for my husband. After months of debating and browsing here I finally got him a DJ a few weeks ago.

He's actually joined also but isn't on as much as I am. I'm still here more so for little ole moi now since it'll be my birthday soon and I'm hoping to make it easier for him to get me a present haaaa!!!

Lucky husband!

Happy Anniversary:)

Ya know what the fellas around here seem to say a lot when encouraging others to buy a particular watch...”happy wife = happy life”. He should be getting you one then
What would you like...do you know yet??

Would you like me to refer to you as ‘Guess’ or do you want some other name.
Littleolemoi’ is VERY hard to keep typing
It MIGHT be easier if you give us a hint. Hehe

Happy wife ummm happy life is a very important thing to remember for all husbands it'll at the very least make his life simpler no??

You can call me whatever you like ...... I've been married close to 20 years so I've been called worse than whatever you choose to call littleolemoi wink?!?!

I come from the camp of " bigger is better " but I just can't see myself wearing the large or above 40mm's though their in style nowadays.

I'm looking at a DJ also since there's so many different options to choose from. It'll also avoid any " mines is better or more expensive than his " discussions in the future haaaa!!!

I did see a thread earlier made by someone though ........ showing the size similarities of a DJ 36 to a Daytona hmmmmm!?!?!?

Going to fit in a 70-75km solo run in a few weeks as a training, should be fun

I did indeed connect with Carl, he's been offline a lot the past few years but we did exchange a lot of PM's in my early TRF days.

BAS - Nobody enjoys running solo for 75km! :)
Do you listen to music or “think to yourself”...inside your head that is?

I use to think I could’ve solved all the problems there was and earn a Noble Piece prize. Seriously, but kidding Do you know that feeling when you just start day dreaming stuff & it’s all on autopilot after that? Or do I not make sense?
What the hell goes through your mind (brain) during that L O N G of a distance. I’d go crazy!

Size schmize- buy what you want but also consider different models and colors based on your skin tone fwiw (that’s what I tried to do). My DJ 41 appears smaller on my wrist than a SS DJ 36mm based on skin MY skin tone. Also, height & width - choose carefully or you can lose a bundle of $$ if like me the watch never makes it to 8 yr. ownership. I DO believe I truly have my 2 keepers..for now...shy of a lottery ticket!! I would have LOVED to buy that new CHNR root beer gmt that’s all the craze...but.. my pockets are simply not that deep.

Oh...my 1st DJ in 2002 when daughter was born was a 28mm. My old(er) migraine prone eyeballs could never see it. So....if you want to keep it a LONG time....too many factors...hence, ALL the threads & enabling on TRF. RIGHT? Hahaha

I had an iPod Shuffle for the pool that was great for laps till it broke. Need to replace it...staring at blue lines of pool floor drive me nuts. I can’t do flip turns fo fear I’ll hit my head...that’s some of what started all this migraine / neck issues....2 concussions & other junk. Not complaining...just adjusting to a new normal. Right SG ??

I have an iPof shuffle as well, I don't think Apple still makes them though.

They don’t ... as far as I know,
A few companies bought out their stock and waterproofed them along with headphones. My last one just expired

Sony makes a decent waterproof alternative to the shuffle, I'm thinking of getting that when my iPod dies

Greetings L-O-moi! Have fun watch shopping! The 36 options are a nice compromise if the larger watches feel uncomfortable; larger watch faces are easier to read . I had a 31 DJ and I loved it but swapped it out recently for a 37 YM- which I love! Not to big or small ...
Oh - your Starbucks iced coffee.... they’re so refreshing! Enjoy!

I'm a big fan of small watches, 34mm being my favourite size

Thank you kindly!!

I enjoy browsing thru the various threads and looking st the different styles and whatnot!!! I'm leaning on something in the 31mm to 34mm range. I'll need to probably visit one of the ADs in my area to be sure what size sctually fits me.

Nothing too large or bling bling ...... just not my style!

My birthday isn't until the end of the year so it'll give me a few more months of searching and salivating haaaa

Ohhh I definitely have an addiction to coffee. You don't want to be anywhere near moi if I haven't had my java yet in the morning!!!

LOL Oh my ... me to ...I’m trying to cutback on my daily caffeine intake; but that first cup in the morning is a necessary evil !

I don’t like diamond-y watches ( actually I do ! But not for daily wear).
I’m loving my Everose SS YM - it’s 37 mm and I feel very comfortable; I love the rotating bezel - I find myself timing so many things ! From cooking to dog walking etc.
The new OP I think is a nice midsize - not blingy at all and nice dial colours.
You can always dress a watch up by wearing a diamond bracelet with it !

Drinking my coffee and watching the shitty, rainy weather in chicagoland.

we might get a few more nice days, then it's off to 8 months of waiting for a summer. sigh.

You can have it all, Bas!

i want eternal summer :D

You're in Holland, right?

I lived in Germany 12 years and was born further southeast in europe. Seasons are a little more pronounced.

Here, we go from ice cold to super hot. between the two, i'll take the hot.

Yep I live in the Netherlands, in the southeast very close to both Belgium and Germany, pretty much the only hilly terrain you can find in the country is over here

Summers here are humid which I find uncomfortable, but usually not very hot. This summer was brutal though...

I just love running through a forest in the rain, nothing like that dark and gloomy atmosphere and the rich smell.
The large Ardennes forest in Belgium is just 25min from home so you can find me there most weekends.
