I'm following as a casual observer and think everything you're saying makes perfect sense, Mike. Congrats on the full order books

Wow, the skeleton is absolutely gorgeous!

I’m almost glad there is such a significant step up in price…so I don’t have buyers remorse on my current Passage de Drake!

I’ll just file this away on the (long) list of pieces that I appreciate but admire from afar!

The Sashiko dial is gorgeous! Well done. I want the pink one for the missus.

Really surprised at how “all in” Czapek has gone on the 38.5mm Antarctique being for women. Diamond dials, pink and blue? 38.5 is not small at all, seems odd to go so feminine with it.

Have the 'original-ish' bracelet and they're fine and very comfy for daily wear. The newer bracelets have even more goodness

Hi All and hello from Geneva,

A couple comments:

1. The Revelation contains a whole new movement, called the SXH7. It is vastly changed from the regular SXH5 which is in the regular Antarctique. The skeletonization process involves opening up almost the whole bottom half of the movement so you can see through it, moving the center seconds to a sub seconds at 4, engraving both sides of the rotor, adding the sapphire plate on the dial for the markers, etc... It is not just a case of removing the dial and printing the markers on the back of the crystal (a la Spaceview). Yes, this watch is US$43,000 vs the regular Antarctique at $25,000. I know that's a big difference, and I wasn't convinced until I held it in my hand yesterday. Now, I'm a believer. You can check my IG @thewatchenabler for a quick video

2. The 38.5's are really not ladies watches, but more unisex. The two mother of pearls are something I would absolutely wear, as is the Sashiko blue. The pink would be for my wife. :)

Instructions on opening the order book can be found here, if anyone has an itchy finger. https://czapek.com/antarctique_reopening/

Of course, I would call your AD if you haven't already done so, but judging by my text messages, they had a busy day yesterday too. :)

As you can imagine, the days here at Watches & Wonders are pretty busy, but I'll check in to answer any questions.

By the looks of it, the Revelation is priced very reasonably. I think it’s typical for skeletonized models tend to be priced at 2-3x their standard counterparts. The PF skeleton model is priced at 3x the Tonda PF, and same with the Laureato I believe. The Santos skeleton is over 4x.

I've always thought skeletons are cool to look at in pictures and display cases but I've always hated them on the wrist.

Perfect! Great to see the ladies having a 'matching' timepiece.

I am also not really passionate on modern skeletonizations. This depends, for me of course, to the fact that the modern skeletonizations, including but not limited to this Czapek, are … plain … compared to the old ones that, more baroque, show incredible engravings on the metals.

I suspect we will see some future versions that are more colorful (like the ice blue ratt). I will bite on one with a red/burgundy accents and outer dial.

Hi folks. I'm considering an Antarctique S when the order books open tomorrow, and haven't tried on the piece beforehand. mikemargolis was extremely helpful, as usual, sending measurements from his flight:

- 38.5mm diameter
- "Lug to lug" of about 43.5mm
- "Side to side" on the integrated bracelet at the start of the bracelet is 26mm
- Spring bar is 18mm wide
- Buckle width is 17mm

The Skeleton is insane…. Maybe the best version to date (slightly sexier than the chrono even…) Lovely. The Titanium is awesome too… but the TI bracelet is still not ready so it was hard to gage the overall feel with the steel bracelet they had it on.

Thanks Steve. I am home. Long day of travel travails yesterday, but I got me some wifey kisses, some doggie kisses, some leftover Chinese food, and I slept in my own bed last night!

All is well.

That is a one of one for a big collector.

And even for someone with a large Czapek collection, it's taken two years to get to this point. And we haven't delivered yet!
