Yes, it does. In fact although I saw the specific product for Chromexcel from Saphir I didn't even bother to try it. A couple of reviews on Style Forum stated that they had and felt it wasn't even worth it when they tried it.

So typically for the most part I use Bick4 for the most part and only use regular cream polish when scuffs cannot be buffed out with brush alone or when adding Bick4 will still not work.

I’m not impressed with Cream Greasy either. I will switch over to Bick 4 at this point.

Alden, a truly wonderful company with excellent shoes, courteous and reliable service, and a commitment to excellence.

Sent these back to Alden refurbishment. These shoes must be nearly 20 years old (+/-). They came back like new. Incredible craftsmanship.

Thanks. I cannot claim to be a shoe expert, and from what I’ve read on this thread, there clearly are better brands. With that said, Alden was my first nice pair ~20 years ago, and I’m a sucker for brand loyalty if the product continues to perform. Alden has done it all for me, and I’d recommend them highly. I’ve enjoyed their shell cordovan shoes for decades now, and the earliest purchased pairs are still going strong.

Hey guys, just placed an order for 3 pair of Rancourt's. Did a custom black chromexcel pinch penny with tan thread and a honey Amazonas Boat sole. Excited to see that one in the flesh. Kind of a "dressier" boat shoe.

Here are the other two:

LOL, you may see some of my shoes listed on SF in the near future as I restock. I know my tastes are more casual than most here but shoe shopping is still fun stuff

Great choices, looks as though you’ll be all set for summer. No matter what you choose the most important thing is that you have a use for them.

Can’t wait for Summer myself, right now my other hobby is suffering till it gets warmer.

Thanks Dan. Definitely will get use out these--right in my wheelhouse. I actually have some Color 8 shell already, but I like the styling of these much more.

Sometimes you just get lucky. Scored these from a half price clearance. $130 for Loake 1880 is not a bad deal.

Sorry to hear the 202 didn’t work out for you and hopefully the 606 will. I haven’t tried the 606 Last but I was liucky enough to get in on a GMTO when they still did that for a pair on the 202 Last. I really like that whole hand sewn split toe thing and I also have a pair of G&G Isham and Thorpes. They also have the Hove which really is the Islam minus one eyelet and no stitching on the side. But anyway you might want to checkout G&G for split toes although their Lasts tend to be sleeker.

Here are the Dover’s I went with.
