I think no matter where you are, there's some degree of territoriality among hospital departments. I certainly experienced it during my 17 years as an OB scrub tech. If we all understood each others' jobs a little better there might be a better spirit of cooperation.

Apology accepted. I much prefer to have fun here.

Thomas311, very nice of you. I wasn't offended anyway. Hope I don't have to apologize to any hospital administrators! JK!

wow lots of anesthesiologists here. I'm a vascular surgeon and wear my GMT almost everyday. Most of the day though I have it tied to my scrub pant ties, so I don't end up wearing it on my wrist for majority of the day. Glad that everyone can get along here and sins forgiven for comments made about different professions.

Lisa,
Thanks for the compliment but the only thing George and I have in common is the grey hair. And you look a lot like Tina Fey. I saw a thread that talked about this and I have to agree.

I am a sales manager at a small communications company. We make voice powered telephones(sound powered telephones). Some of the phones are used in prisons and jails for the visitation area. We have sold some of the phones to be used as props on TV crime dramas, such as Law & Order and The Sopranos. It is a small company and i have worked here 15 good years. I love my job.

Im a college professor of geology....or "Rocks for Jocks". LOVE what I do!! I couldnt wear my 5512 in my last job (field geologist) but now I can...but she is currently being given some much needed TLC and cleaning. Most students dont notice my watches and if they do I rarely tell them their real...I just say I bought my "rolmex" in Mexico several years ago....for $2500 pesos (or $25 USD!)!

If you dont love Geology, then Upper Jurassic!

Ed,

Sorry, must have posted a photo of a CH-46 Sea Knight in error.

I'm a Sikorsky alumnus so all those funny looking, banana-shaped, helicopters look the same to me!

Let's try this again, with correct photo this time!

I am in the army and run an I.T company as well with the help of my wife. I have been in the forces just over 8 years now. Running the comapny as well means that I have very little time in life except work and my family, however it does let me pay for the nice things in life.

I started it as a way to keep my self busy after a bad time in my life and as a means to have something up and working that when I left the army. I could go into full time rather then being unemployed.

I don't know Lisa, Jamin' JJ all duded up and primped to go out on the town can be quite a sight. You may want to pick somewhere off the beaten path w/poor lighting. Oh yeah, try and ignore the ode'de sheep-dip. His choice of cologne, "Ewe" is questionable at best.

You must've read my "likes" list! I'm searching for a "Deb" avatar, in fact. "Could I interest you in some boondoggle key chains? A must-have for the season's fashion."

"I already made like infinity of those at camp."

Besides, I think JJ would like my sleeves. They're real big.
