Depends on the attitude of the person who sees you wearing it.

To some it could be flashy, classy, or trashy, or any combination thereof.

I know there have been certain circumstances where I've felt it's flashy, always classy, and have yet to be in a situation where I'd think it'd be trashy.

But eye of the beholder, I'm sure in a room full of people you'd get all the above, and notwithstanding the two tone Submariner, I'm sure you could get the same reaction regardless of what Rolex you were wearing, or any high priced so called, "flashy" watch.

Totally enjoy wearing mine, my opinion only.....

I really don’t understand questions like this. Do YOU like it? You’re asking strangers opinions. Yes, these strangers may own watches like this, so they’re going to be the ones saying classy. If they don’t like the look they’re going to say the opposite. Although I think trashy is the wrong word to describe a rolex of any color configuration. What you’re really asking is if you wear this watch what will people think of YOU. Not the watch. And that’s not something we can not determine. Others opinions are not what matters. This is YOUR money spent. Not ours. If you like it, then wear that thing loud and proud.

Classy! The TT Sub was/is an aspirational piece for many us. My first Rolex was a blusey, almost 20 years ago..I really had no business buying that watch at the time..but I loved it.

Much like cars, motorcycles, and other collectibles...tastes change and mature..but it doesn't mean that you can't appreciate another member's pride in displaying a beautiful watch!

I can't stand two tone, looks extremely try-hard to me and epitomises the used-car salesman / flash 80's banker vibe. It's Rolex's equivalent of 22" chrome rims.

On a Sub it undermines the tool-watch narrative, and isn't truly luxurious like a Patek or even a Day-Date.

On a classy person they look classy. On a trashy person they look trashy. Don’t own one but I think they look great on my wrist. Two tones never look as nice in images, but often look better than SS in person.

Well if it's white gold or platinum then I personally think it looks far 'classier' than two-tone, but I still think it's a questionable choice on a dive watch. It's rather akin to Rolls Royce producing an 'off-roader'.

For a dress watch, then I think full yellow or rose gold can look great.

Bear in mind my personal aesthetic preference is timeless, refined. I know this isn't everyone's taste, hence people liking watches I'd class as blingy/trashy and thinking my choices are boring. I'm an Aston/Maserati guy rather than a Lamborghini guy, although a long way from affording either.
