My kids laugh at me. I go out in a t-shirt and a puffer vest in sub zero, snowstorm, weather. I Shovel the deck and start to BBQ. They laugh, but they love their steaks and grilled veggies.

Just put a homemade rub on this 6 pound pork loin. Out of the fridge in the morning and let it get to room temp, apple juice injection and then into the smoker mid morning... Mmmmmmm good eats for supper tomorrow!

Just pulled from the oven to rest, cheese potatoes and mixed veggies on the stove steaming. Yesterday I made up a batch of TGIFridays Jack Daniel's sauce (I put extra pineapple and onion in it, love those chunks in there!)... man I'm getting hungry!

I'm confused, why did you cook it to 160 and then put it in the oven for another hour?

145, pull it, tent it and enjoy.

It really is OK to eat pork under 180.

Glad you enjoyed it, try it at 145 next time :)

It hit 160 when I first tested it, my timing was off and I put it in the oven tented over about 1/2 inch of apple juice at 200 degrees just to keep it warm. Came out super juicy to my surprise. Today was very windy here and I think that kind if messed up the temp. I had to tend to the firebox much more than usual.
