I wish they also discouraged vacuous "cheap" and "great price" comments especially as those are most common on overpriced listings. If the price is actually cheap, the correct comment is "sold." |

That's why you will see some really dopey prices lately. Saw a 31.5 binb Panda. Just dreaming nobody is buying at many of the prices offered lately.

[QUOTE=Vince_76;12565379]RO 50th Chrono white dial full set slider - $48.5k and sitting
This one was gone next day. I make an offered at $45k, he wanted minimum at $47.5 and somebody took it. I think it's reasonable price. I am actually want 26240OR but all of them are still way high compare to MSRP.

126618L"N"
Quite a few from 2021 that are listed as mint/full set in the 36k range Also seen a few BNIB 2022 models for 38ish So basically 36ish used and 38ish BNIB 126618L"B" are about $1-1500 higher both ways

We're getting close and maybe I'm waiting for something that'll never happen but if they get to 30-32k I might jump in.

Thanks I have but so far still form above 33/34k. I'm gonna wait another month or so and see how it goes. Imagine once brand new ROOs are announced, the downward pressure may increase further |

Seems like Paul Thorpe has moved the goal post -- advising not to sell any pieces until the market goes back up in spring or summer. So I guess we are too the moon come spring or summer
He also wants to remind everyone that dealers aren't here to screw anyone. If they lowball the hell out of your watch it isn't because they are screwing you, it's them just being honest. My god, give me a break with that crap. NO ONE FEELS BAD THAT THESE GUYS ARE IN TROUBLE AND SITTING ON 5 PANDA DAYTONAS THEY BOUGHT FOR $50K AND CANT SELL THEM! |

Went browsing over the weekend and saw some pretty amazing prices. Do greys even want to sell watches? Are they just hoping some guy with more money than brains comes along and funds their operation for the month with one purchase?
Saw a VC overseas dual time in black for 52k. Same watch bnib sold on moda for $24k a couple weeks ago. 5712 for 120k. They’ve been in the 70s and 80s. 5402 for 140k. Guy had one posted for $55k that I’m Not sure ever sold. |

Hey you never know - even on this forum you see 10-40 bumps for some APs and other watches... Either the margin is not there, so sellers don't want to take a loss (or cannot give a larger discount) or they have enough funds to hold out for someone willing to pay it. Hard to say but I wish them well regardless... At the same time never hurts to ask about best and final |

Market is down and continuing that way. I don't see any scenario where the grey dealer who bought a panda Daytona for 50k or a 15202 for 130k ever making that money back on the piece and instead are going to take a bath on it. And to everyone that says demand has not slowed at the boutique level--how sure are we of that? Of course certain pieces will always have an insane demand but what is to stop AP, PP, and Rolex from putting up a charade that pieces are just as hard to get as last year to keep demand super high? We will never actually know. |
