Strap change on the 11-03. I really prefer these things on kevlar in general. It's a bit top heavy with the RG piece, but I still prefer it over the rubber.

Breaking: I just received my copy of the outstanding Men's magazine The Rake, and Richard Mille was anointed with The Rake Lifetime Achievement award. There is a very nice one page laudatory write-up on Mr. Mille.

For those who are not aware, The Rake is an international Men's fashion magazine that highlights exotic cars, haute horologie, and other accoutrements of the older man-about-town. They have a web presence as well, and an online store at Therake.com (or something to that effect). I have subscribed to the magazine for years, and highly recommend it.

Was at the boutique in Bal Harbour yesterday. Tried on the 11-03 Ti! A client who ordered decided to pass. Still available if anyone is interested!

After trying the RM 29 Polo Club St Tropez edition, I've been back and forth about getting a RM and have been reading through this thread beginning to end.

I understand the love for the RM 11, though I think it's just too thick on the wrist for me. My current collection is PP, Rolex, AP (RO, not ROO).
My preference is something simpler with more muted tones, so I've been looking at a few of the non complicated watches.

At the moment, I can't find any RM 55 except from grey market dealers, though am still pondering the RM 29, and recently I've been offered a RM 67-01 from a boutique. The latter I find very interesting, especially since it's flat and an in-house movement. This model seems to be difficult to find, though not sure if it's because it's high in demand or just not popular? I would love your thoughts and advice. Price would basically be retail.

Also if you have contacts with reputable ADs in London, HK or New York I'd love to hear about them.

Thanks!

Quick edits to above: I saw it is an in house designed movement and manufactured outside.

^^ Popular RM's are extremely hard to find right now. Your 'safe' bet out of the ones listed is 55. Remember there is a reason you can find several of those other models, which may be reflective upon resale.

Good luck with the hunt.

Thanks! Outside of 55, the popular ones today are considered 11 and 35-02?

35-02s are around and available (hit and miss) at boutiques. I know some ADs are slowly getting them as well, as I got my 35-02 from an AD.

The 35-01 has truly become difficult.

It's probably impossible, but if you could try both on, they truly are different.

Sorry Guys, I meant 35-01. Thanks Paul. Any idea what they are trading for.

Yeah, -01 is even harder

Really depends if pre-owned I've seen $90-100k then BNIB all depends, but see as high as full retail.

Finding the -01 (at RM AD or boutique) is the true challenge.

After SIHH RM will ship more pieces (they like to get AD's to send them a lot of money this time of year) and then they will finally trickle some pieces out to them (AD's). However, still going to be a challenging piece to find at a price you will be happy.

Killer piece though!

Getting it at a price you want to pay is trick (hence you asked about AD vs Boutique).

What are you waiting for...go grab it

It seems both AD and Boutique alike want a premium for the 35-01 these days!

They are charging clients over MSRP?

No can't do that on new.

Used they can do as they wish...but would be silly IMHO for anyone to pay over

Any guesses or predictions for SIHH?

Was on 57th the other day. The new Mille boutique is literally across the street from the AP one. Seems very, very symbolic. A high class Hatfield and McCoy situation.

I have not been to the NYC boutique, but will try in the near future. I blame the group here for even making me think of such a thing. Now, I have to remember not to bring my check book with me.

Don't go any time soon; it's still just a storefront at this point.

The beast is back! Whilst selling a load of pieces to my friendly dealer he told me that he had in stock the 39 I sold him a while back. He even still had my original invoice from the Boutique!

It seems fate intervened and so I had to buy it back!
