Spending today putting up the rest of the Christmas decorations outside. I made Holly and I a quick lunch that I used to make for my daughters when they were little. Homemade spaghetti sauce on top of toasted English muffins, topped with a 6 cheese Italian blend , sprinkled with Italian seasonings, toss under the broiler until the cheeses are bubbling and enjoy!
Wishing a great weekend to all my TRF friends!

Today I took the gang to Kennet Square for lunch at The Half Moon restaurant. It was quite a drive but I don't mind traveling for good food! Holly, the girls and their significant others generally come along without compliant.
The Half Moon specializes in wild game. Our table of six polished off a large plate of crab nachos, elk and turkey panini, chicken, wild boar, kangaroo, crab cakes and ostrich chili. I had a "Nasty Bastard" scotch ale, other craft beers were also
enjoyed, all in all a great afternoon!

...Although a tad late.. Our Christmas Eve dinner...
Starting with our traditional.. 'Risengrold' (rice pudding..). It Is ..really good..- ..(those who know this tradition will understand..)... !!.
..Dinner followed, with Duck, brown and crispy, (DK style, - as it should be..).. with 'brun kartofler' (carmalized/sugar browned potatoes), red cabbage..(rodkal..) along with Jannet's Awesome gravy..!! ..(we skipped the mashed potatoes this year....). - Of course, - accompanied with a nice selection of wine, - white for Jannet, Red for me..
Damn.. it was soo great, as usual...
This is something we look forward to every year...- Gotta love these traditions...!!
-
So great to everyone's traditions and 'dinner' for the 'evening'..
Certainly 'peeks' one's interest in trying new 'things' - !!!
...
Getting hungry after all this 'food' talk...!!
.
.......
BTW.. Tonight... - Guess !?!? - ' Seasoned Left-overs' . {Often the best}...!!

Thanks Tim.. Jannet does a 'bang-up' job for our Christmas dinner..!! -
My turn, for New Years Eve.. Italian style.. .. 'Bacalao' (salted Cod, soaked, dried, some pieces fried, then the larger pieces into a 'stew'..(variations of that...) .. - May sound Odd, but I'll tell you, from those 'non-believers'... who have 'come around', ... It IS, one of the best meals, (imo)..of the Holiday Traditions..we grew up on ....!! .
Some other members may know what Im talking about.. - Different versions ..with the same results..
. - A great time and festivities. !!

Sounds good Thomas, isn't this time of the year fantastic? Stressing but if you have the right mindset it just all falls into place!

This was Chistmas Eve night, and my good friend and fellow watch nerd joined as we celebrated. He also witnessed my wife hand me not one, but two Rolex for my Christmas this year. SD and Exp II. We gave our friend the Dowling and Hess book for his Santa Claus.. So for dinner, it was a Crab and Oysters night.

My friend brought two of his...a Beautiful DJ passed down from his late father, and a nice GMT 116710. Not a bad night....

Happy new years all....
