Nancy great advice since you did not say the hubby should help out with the housework. I like the way you think.

I saw Al put a dirty plate in the sink once back in 2002, instead of leaving it down in the family room, so there's always hope of help when you least expect it.

No need to fret the house cleaning, once the "nesting" thing gets going no-one will be able to stop you.

That's what I did until I came back to the computer... I relaxed with my feet up in the couch; grabbed some Oreo pudding, and later Pringles chips, and watched "a baby story" on TLC!

Okay ladies, have any of you got boudoir photography done? What was it like? If not, have you ever thought about it?

Yes - as an anniversary gift to Dave. It was a little nerve-wracking, but I'm glad I did it when I still had a pretty decent pre-kid body. You're only 28 once.

Ashley, that sounds like a pretty nifty way to celebrate your newly svelte self.

Thanks for the feedback, Lisa! I asked because I think that it would be fun to get the photos taken, but also, it would be fun to take those kind of photos! I take prenatal shots at my job and at my first photography place we were allowed to photograph the women basically naked (but tastefully, of course), so last night I was browsing through photography websites and I thought to myself "Hey, that looks like fun!"

Unfortunately, David, I think that there is still a lot of stigma of getting those type of photos taken. Also, it can be really hard for a woman to be comfortable enough with her body to do it! Have you ever hinted at it? Maybe you could get some done (Like Homer on the Simpsons) and ask "Now, what about you?"

Damn Ash, I really wish you could come and take some prenatal shots of me!

I don't feel comfortable to have a stranger do it...

Mireyna I really wish the same thing! Prenatal shots have always been my favourite ones to take, especially when the mom-to-be is confident and willing to try the different poses!
I definitely think you should bring your husband in to get some done regardless of who the photographer is, even if they are nice and conservative. Prenatal shots are beautiful, and your little girl will really like them when she's old enough to understand that it's her in your tummy!!

Thanks Ashley, is there a place you'd recommend? The only places I know around here is like JCPenny, and Sears...

JCPenny takes portraits? Really? Wow! I have no idea about them, the problem with Sears is that they are normally focused on taking children's portraits and aren't generally given a lot of prenatal shots to do. However, if you bring in a few images of poses that you like, I'm sure that they can recreate them.
Let me get back to you tonight about some places to go to, because the place that I used to work at only has locations in Canada.
If I can't find a place, I'll send you a few different images that I think would be beautiful for you, and you can decide and bring those in to wherever you go!

Awesome! That would be great! I like the black and white stuff, but please send me everything you'd recommend, and I'll take it from there. Does my husband get included in this as well? I only have a week time left!

Mireyna

I definitely aint a pro piccy snapper but I just whacked the digicam on BW and got Claire to pose.

We took a whole load including some tasteful nudey ones (It didn't show anything) with the white balance turned up to give it that pro studio feel.....brightness down, contrast up in photoshop.

One of our best friends (shes a girly) is a photographer and quite highly regarded however claire didn't feel comfortable.

Just do what feels right and no...that doesn't include Joe and his errrmmmm telescopic lens!!!!

Very nice, Jim.

Mireyna, if you don't get a chance to schedule a "pro" sitting, have your hubby take some pics for you. Or, try Target and tell them the kinds of pics you want, especially if you want your husband in the picture. (better still, tell him he can be in the picture if you get to go with the name you want!)

Thank you ladies...I still have it in my wallet.

Mind you...what a difference ten months or so makes....

Any excuse to post some more pics of him!!!!!

Mireyna I have to say that even as a fella I'm excited about the oncoming few months. They really do change your life but in such a wonderful, beautiful way.

Claire is a stay at home mum and simply adores being around him. He makes her laugh out loud throughout the day. Even though, as a father I can never experience the bond she has with him, just watching them both together makes my heart swell.

It all sounds corny and a little fey but having that completely dependant soul in your life is a truly magical gift!
