Tonight, venison meatloaf . I like to " gather" my own meat, usually take 4 weeks off during deer season to stock up.

Vallozzi's in Greensburg (Oh my goodness!)
After Mrs. Loxmyth tried on a few (2 hours worth ) mother of the groom dresses for our son's upcoming wedding, we stop at Vallozzi's in Greensburg.

We split a Caesar Salad, after the fried zucchini, so I could say I had something healthy to eat.

She had the salmon and when I saw the twin South African 10oz tails on the menu, I was smitten and took the proverbial plunge.
(Sorry, no pics so as not to be too gauche while in the restaurant.)

Passed on the turtle soup, because I imagined my entree to be almost more that I could handle.
(I was right, but still made room for the breadpudding with caramel sauce for dessert! )



This piece of edible art from Norman Love (Passion Panna Catta) was tremendous! (I had a few. )

Great looking meals guys!!!

It was indeed a great weekend for cooking - the weather here in San Francisco was truly amazing.

Made the following:

Seared filet with white potato mash, sauteed spinach with garlic and roasted sesame seeds, Parmesan stuffed shiitake mushroom, with a Madeira wine and beef stock reduction.

Made some other meals too but this one my wife really loved!

A simple rustic Shrimp Scampi... nothing beats a 10-minute cook-time dish that delivers wonderful flavors. Forgot to garnish.

Made some sliders last night, something fun. My son gets a thinner patty version with no fixings. And of course some spicy steak fries with aioli.
