So many topics about the quite same notion (what are you driving, show us those steering wheels)... I then double post something taken recently, with such a joy to be able to drive again!
For sure, all this is about pleasure and beloved toys. I like those topics! |

The number of people taking photographs of their wrist at 70+mph truly drives me insane. I get the whole "steering wheel / wrist shot" thread, but surely you can pull over, stop and take it that way?

At this speed, with such a car and an iPhone (without looking at the screen) I see no risk at all. Many thanks for your advise, anyway... |

An older picture, at a time when I had a Day Date.
This time the Lotus Motorsport (made by Momo) steering wheel is black. I have a black and a red. At about the same speed (rather 60 mph in fact)... |

You say Rouge?
Bleu (in French in the text). I have 2 blue Steering wheels to exactly match the color of those improbable blue seats I found NOS. The smaller one (13") is for the track and for my mechanic who has long legs. The 14" is identical to the genuine steering wheel, but in blue leather rather than black vinyl. Those colors make this Lotus Seven S3 unique as for its interior. |

I'm not sure what the law is in France with regard to using a mobile phone whilst driving, but it is illegal in the UK, and for a good reason: PEOPLE HAVE DIED because of idiots on their phones. This may sound a little harsh, but is the potential guilt you may feel really worth it for the photo? As I said before, you can easily pull over. We might as well start a Corona-and-your-rolex thread, where we take pictures of our watches whilst on a Corona ward in a hospital! Equally inappropriate, in my opinion. |

It's also illegal in France.
"with such a car".....hmmmm. Jean-Michel, in your heart, I hope you know, you're wrong. Many years ago, a French policeman, having stopped me for doing something stoopid on a motorcycle, said, "I hope the person you kill, or injure, is someone you love and care for". Nothing was lost in the translation and it kinda stuck with me. Stay safe. Love the Lotus' by the way. |

Yes I know I'm wrong. Yes its illegal.
But I was not fool enough to do it with something else than an empty road and at a low speed. Thank you Speedbird-1 for the compliments. |

Letīs See Those Steering Wheels!
The wagon...
I really enjoyed my Mini with the four cylinder twin turbo BMW engine. It's a great sporty car and a hoot to drive. It likely would have been good to tow behind the Bus (named Moby Dick). I traded it in on an X3 as it has the six cylinder twin turbo engine and I feel less vulnerable in my commutes. |
