Explorer from Bay Area, CA

Have really been enjoying reading the posts and learning about the brand.

Recently purchased an Explorer ref. 114270 after only ever seeing the watch online. It immediately struck me as the one watch I'd wear for the rest of my life-- the only one I'd ever need. Getting my hands on one, however, was another story.

'The search' consumed me for the better part of a month as I read and researched all I could. Bounced around the various grey sites collecting price info (wondering what the hell was going on with pricing), visiting AD's in the Bay Area (no inventory), which led nowhere.

Eventually however, I did find find a private seller and was able to work out a deal.

My SO asked many questions-- how I liked it, was it all I'd hoped? Did it feel good on the wrist, if it was worth it...

I thought about it for a few moments....
I didn't adjust the bracelet, it just fit right out the box.
I didn't have to wind it. At +1spd it's more accurate than any other clock in my home.
I didn't have to worry about what clothes I was wearing, it goes with everything everywhere.

Indeed, my answer surprised both of us, "It's just right."
