Vintage Accutron Spaceview
I bought this a coupld of years ago and had some trouble with it. So I sent to Eric Grafton, the guy rectumended by RHD, for re-phasing to run on the modern battery, and possibly the correct hands if he can find them. I usually wear it on a groin strap with HD YG deployant, so I am not worried about the bracelet.
It's a nice vintage piece. I hope I can keep it running for a few more years. |

Haven't seen one of those close up in years, Bob. My uncle bought one when they first came out. I've got to ask him sometime whatever happened to his.
Good luck with it.

Thanks! I hope I can get the correct hands for it. That would make it more "original" obviously. I'll let you know what Eric tells me. It's a nice watch and it was quite accurate when running. I think Bulova advertised a minute a month as its accuracy, which was quite good considering this predated the quartz watch as we now know it.

Sweet watch. High on my whish list and should belong in any serious collection. You can find many spare parts and refurbishing services on the Internet. This is where the revolution began!

Great watch Bob!
I have an old Accutron that I wore when I was younger, but it's pretty beat up. I have been thinking of getting it refurbished. It's not a Spaceview, however...... As Frans stated there are plenty of places that service these watches. Here are 2 links I've found in the past (have not dealt with either place): http://www.accutronservice.com/ http://www.accutrons.com/ |

That's a beautiful watch, Bob. I like those a lot, and will probably buy one.
