Those Rolex adverts.....

Thought I'd share some of the Rolex adverts I've picked up over the years.

Love the iconic feel to them....

I'll post one a day!

Also, when did Pan Am fly a Concorde?

Interesting fact,

I met wally Herbert who is in the first advert at the rgs in London. Amazing man.

Also the second advert features the Brabant island expedition led by commander Chris Furse who I interviewed for a project I did on polar exploration....

A GMT for $295. Ah those were the days.

Its definitely possible PanAM had orders for Concorde. Many airlines cancelled the orders though when it became clear how noisy and polluting they were. In the end only Air France and BA took delivery and used the planes for transatlantic flights where they could fly supersonic.

Thanks for sharing.

It would be great to get a data base of every Rolex advert ever done!

There's a sticky thread moderators!

Amazing how time has changed, now Rolex doesn't even want sell you a SS Pepsi GMT.

Cools ads, keep them coming!

Love these ads. I still view Rolex's as reliable tools rather than luxury status symbols that many do today, that's what draws me to the brand.
