Rolex explorer replacement strap
Hello, I would like to get a replacement strap for my swiss only five digit explorer. I see a lot of replacement straps for six digit Explorers. Does anybody know if a strap that would fit on the six digit would also fit on the five digit?
Thank you! |

Depends which six-digit. The Explorer was one of the first (besides the Daytona) to get its preceding "1" and the 114270 (first of them) was dimensionally identical to the 14270. The only thing to be careful of is whether the end links are intended for lug holes or not.

I'm not sure if the 114270 and the 14270 share the same case. The 114270 has a solid end link bracelet which may or may not fit.

Good call. Is always assumed they did since I thought case shared with DJ and that didn’t change during that period. However it looks (based on some old threads) like it’s harder to put a different bracelet on the 114270 than the 14270. Not sure if that means the bracelet specific to the former will work on the latter, though.

I've read that the distance of the 14270/114270 lug holes (cca. 40 mm?) are moderately different, thus making their OEM bracelets not interchangeable.
