Who went from 16610 to 126610?

I want a 16610, but I also want glidelock as i previously had the 126610 and i liked that feature. Anyone who has a 16610 happy with the fit all the time? Any troubles getting a good fit? who switched to the 126610 and is happier?

I wouldnt say I went from but I own many Subs. 5 and 6 digits

The 5 digit models even though they feel rather light on the wrist achieve a good fit. As great as a Glidelock no but good enough. I just use the micro adjustments in the clasp of the 16610 like most do on the Glidelock.

Granted on the fly changes are not as easy. You can put a Glidelock from the 116610/114060 Sub on a 16610

You can put a Glidelock clasp on any Sub or Sub Date bracelet.

Sub bracelets have been comfortable and easy to fit for decades, I would never change out a watch I love just because the next generation has a snazzy clasp.

I recently added a 12-series and still have my first, 22 year old now, 5-series.

I will never sell my first, but I am over the moon happy with the new one. I have a 7 1/2 wrist, so it fits awesome, but does wear bigger and heavier vs the 5-series.

With the expedition models, go try one on, and make sure it’s right for you.

In the winter I usually have to put the clasp in one pin/setting, but other than that my 16610 fits "better" than my 116619... Not exactly fair since the 16610 is probably 25% of the weight, but it's a very comfortable watch.

The suggestion of buying a glidelock clasp or whole bracelet is a good one.
I'm assuming the 126610 GL clasp would fit with the bracelet tapering, but if you get a full bracelet you'll have to get the one for the 116610 since it's 20mm.

I have never been less than completely satisfied with the bracelet on my 16610. The new clasp is nice, but just not necessary for me IMHO.

The new 12xx subs have 21mm/17mm bracelet. Old ones 20/16 - so no, it won’t fit

Be that as it may, you can still put a Glidelock clasp on any Sub Oyster bracelet made.

I had a 5 digit and sold it. Waiting on a 6 digit now as I want the higher build quality I see in my BLRO.

Am happy with my 16610; you can put a glidelock bracelet on them as long as the case has the SEL lip, problem solved if that is what you want.

No fitting issues with mine!

I went the the other way, from a 11XXXX and 12XXXX Sub to a 16610LV and am very happy. What it lacks in modern tech it makes up for in aesthetics, size and fit.

The light, hollow link bracelet flexes and expands/contacts when worn, so I find less or a need to micro adjust. The tuna-can clasp is nice and thin - very comfortable.

Get one! The clasp is easy to adjust with a toothpick. I owned the 114060 and 14060M at the same time -- only the 5 digit remains!
