Considering the seamaster 300 diver green on rubber strap. How is it?
Considering purchasing this watch.
Do you recommend it? How does it compare to Rolex in terms of feel and build quality? Is it comfortable? Do you think there will be a waitlist if I go through the boutique? |

Great watch and one I have owned several times. I always buy on the bracelet and add the strap as it is the most economical way to do it and it gives you so many options. Several of our Trusted Sellers have this watch slightly pre-owned for about 1k off. A boutique will not discount and they may give you a NATO strap if you are lucky. No reservations on the watch, very cool and a good wear.

I had the white dial. Quality and comfort are top notch. Wears terrific on the wrist and stays nice and planted. My only issue with it is I couldn't deal with the skeleton hands. If you are good with the hands I can't think of any other negative.
One word of caution depending on your wrist size. It is a 42mm that wears like a 42mm, so if you are used to 40mm watches it will seem significantly larger IMO. |

I think the green is a special watch. The color is muted in low light but pops in brighter light making it a stealthy colorway. Build quality is exceptional yet some still don't appreciate the older style bracelet; I have no issue with the bracelet and find it very comfortable. I would highly recommend buying it on steel bracelet and adding the rubber strap at purchase. You should also look into the mesh strap which is a total winner imho. I liked my green so much I also bought the summer blue edition which is spectacular. Good luck.....

Agree with a previous comment on the skeleton hands. I wear reading glasses and if I don’t have them on I find it hard to read (blue dial)
If you can stretch to it buy it on the bracelet then buy the genuine deployant strap and clasp, I preferred it and found it easier to use than the standard rubber strap with the traditional buckle. I put the rubber strap on for summer wear and bracelet for winter. I personally found it very comfortable on both and the micro adjustment on the bracelet is great. Like already mentioned the dials pop in sunlight with the laser wave pattern on the dial. |

The Seamaster 300 Diver in green on a rubber strap is an awesome choice! Highly recommend it. The build quality is excellent and feels on par with Rolex. It's super comfortable, especially with the rubber strap. There might be a short waitlist at the boutique, but it's worth checking out.

I have this one as well. I purchased it on the bracelet, and I later added the Omega green rubber strap as well. Currently wearing it on the rubber strap for summer. As others have noted, this one is a real chameleon! The forest green looks very dark in most light, but the green can really shine through in bright sunlight. The rubber strap is comfortable and very well made.

It's a great piece. I love the chameleon nature of the green dial color. It looks black in low light but a vibrant green in sunlight. The rubber strap is also a perfect match. I purchased a 2023 on the gray market for ~2k less the retail & just added the Milanese bracelet, which looks & wears incredibly.

Love mine. It's simply beautiful. Dare I say a little sharper looking than my Sub. Great tool watch and wears very comfortably.

That's one of the nice thing about the green, the way in changes shades in different lighting.

It’s the watch I wear more than any other. I really like the subdued olive colour more than the bright emerald some brands have gone with, and I really think it has the best dial of all the Omega divers as it just has the green and white whereas most have bits of red or orange which I can find jarring

For MY prefs I’d say you need a 7 inch for this one, I’ve owned like all of them and then decide it’s too large for me at 6.6. Not sure why I always fall for the trap, like a new dial is gonna make it shrink lol

I bought it on the strap with the pin buckle and could never quite get the strap to fit correctly. Switched to a grey Omega NATO, which was nice, but didn't do the watch justice, particularly since it was recommended that I not swim with it on. So, I finally got the green rubber strap with the deployant clasp, and now it's perfect.
As others have recommended, buy it on the bracelet, and then add the rubber strap with deployant clasp. So much better than the pin buckle.

Just to add another perspective, I prefer the pin buckle for several reasons. It is very well designed and takes up much less room on the wrist as it’s much less material than the deployant. It also lies much flatter when you have your wrist against a desk, table, etc. The downside is it is a little less safe when putting on or taking off the watch as with the deployant clasp you have a closed loop. I do really like Omega’s deployant as I think it is very well designed, robust, and looks great, I just slightly prefer the simple pin buckle option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I bought a OEM rubber strap for my Summer Blue Seamaster and although it looked nice it was the most awkward and difficult strap I've ever had with respect to putting it on and taking it off. After a month I went back to the bracelet.

The green is neat & I think would be the color to get, should someone ask me for my opinion. IMO, they wear large. Like, it looks to my eyes like a Sea-Dweller sized at first glance. They're too big for me & the skeleton hands take some getting used to. That being said, if you plan on this being your fun/beach/vacation watch, it's probably perfect. An AT will wear better, though, IMO... rubber strap vs rubber strap.

I have the blue version, bought on steel, added the blue rubber deployant strap. Very much recommend this watch. The versatility of steel and rubber strap combo is great. I will admit the steel bracelet is a bit polarizing, but it has its own design language that fits in a collection very well. The rubber strap is super comfy and fits (me at least) perfectly. I really like the wave dial, He valve, skeleton hands all of that makes it unique enough to live in the same box with a Sub or comparable. Plus it has a debatably better movement than a 12 series Sub.

Really a great watch - nothing not to like. I always recommend buying it on the bracelet and getting the rubber after.
Don’t own it anymore - have had the blue version, green, and white dial. Fun pieces. I have a Bond 60th coming soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You can get them on walk-in, if they hold them, no waitlists I encountered. Have had mine for a while and love it - very comfortable (6.5" wrist here - no issues whatsoever), accurate, gorgeous to look at and the overall quality is impressive and not at all short of say a Sub. Its a fun watch given the colour and gives you a break from steel and black dials. I just got the rubber strap as really dislike the bracelet. The images above show the dark shade/hue of green the dial/bezel turn in low light, but in direct sunlight you get this...
Highly recommend it. |

Exactly why I put deployant clasps on all of my rubber and leather straps.

I would get the watch on bracelet and then get the strap as a separate option as other posters have said. When you compare dollar-for-dollar, it's just a more cost effective way of doing it.
That being said, the green SMP on the green strap just looks better than the watch on the bracelet. The bracelet itself looks dated, like something from the 70's that Omega hasn't really gotten out of. I really hope they update the design of the bracelet soon, but that's just me. The watch looks stunning on the strap. |

Could be why Omega released the new Divers on the mesh bracelet. Maybe they’re trying to get away from the other bracelet. Just a thought. Could be wrong.
