Icon10 PM Bracelet on a Daytona Oysterflex

Is it possible to put on a gold bracelet on a Oysterflex?

I assume the cases are the same with SS and PM but I could be wrong. I have searched and couldn't find a definitive answer.

If possible and has pics, that would be awesome.

Thanks TRF!

Is it because the case on the oyster flex is a different size? I’m just trying to understand the differences between the 2 different Daytonas.

No you cant. Oysterflex models come with endlinks that cant be removed so you cant just change it out.

This is why you ALWAYS, repeat ALWAYS buy on bracelet and buy aftermarket strap like Horus.

You cant go the other way around without selling the watch and buying a new one that comes on the bracelet. Trust me I learnt the hard way.

Ahhh ok that make sense. I noticed like a half link on the case but thought that was part of the rubber bracelet.

Thanks for the clarification.

Yes you can...

But you need to remove the bezel to remove the endlinks to allow the bracelet to fit.

So its not a DIY job, but any competent watchmaker should be able to do it for you.

^Are you 100% sure the bracelet will fit that even if you remove the bezel? I recall this was not possible at all and if it was not sure how flush that would fit with that.

I concur ^^^. I’d also read that the lug-holes positioning were slightly different. This may be misinformation though.

Beleive the endlinks CAN me removed as shown here, as they are not part of the case but rather hold in place by the bezel (see image below)

Think some people have been able to adapt a PM bracelet, not sure though if the bracelet lug holes would align or new holes are needed

AFAIK, for the new oysterflex daytonas, it is impossible until someone or rolex makes a precious metal bracelet for it.

I struggled with the idea of buying a rubber bracelet precious metal for awhile. But honestly, I would wear it more on rubber anyway. I also couldn't get used to the idea of a full gold watch for myself. I'm just not bold enough but the OF on YG was just enough "pop". I pulled the trigger on a gold OF daytona.

If the ceramic bezel daytona were available on bracelet instead of OF, I would definitely have purchased that instead. But it ain't. So I'm here... with my OF YG daytona and I love it... Unless it becomes av on the bracelet then i will be pretty sad.

I agree with SLWoodster- ceramic bezel plus OF bracelet is a great combo. I also love it.

Does the oysterflex even have rubber in it? Or is it a silicone elastomer?

It is remarkably comfortable, looks like the day I got it (I imagine quite a bit more durable than say an Apple Watch strap).

I actually love the contrast between the strap and the PM.

And then who says “no” when you get the call for any Daytona you want? I was probably the most excited I’ve been when I received the call.

According to this video from Watchfinder (watch from 0:50-2:20), the end links of Daytona with Oysterflex is part of the watch body, unlike the picture of the older version above. So you can’t put a bracelet on it, at least not a standard one.

Did you click on the link in my post, they are not part of the case. They are held in place by the bezel

Check out an AP ROO if you can and I think you’ll get it. You wear one of those for a while and you wonder why anyone would get a bracelet watch. Especially if you live in a warm climate and live in shorts/t shirt like I do. Pretty badass watches. Big, but badass.

Chill, I’m just sharing information since I came across the Watchfinder video.

I have no idea if the older version of Daytona in the older post is the same as the Oysterflex version. Maybe you’re right that the end links can removed, but Watchfinder, which has a team of watchmakers, seems to believe the end links are part of the case and cannot be removed.

I’m chilled bud.

Watchfinder are correct in so far as they can’t be removed by simply taking the straps off. But they are separate pieces that can be removed by removing the bezel.

You can see that if you examine an oysterflex case
