5270p

Had a nice visit at Patek viewing the 5270P perpetual calendar chrono. What a gorgeous piece to say the least!

If I had deep enough pockets I’d curate a collection of 5270 in different metals/colors. Can never get enough of this.

Def my favorite of all the 5270s line but could see how green isn't everyone's cuppa

I just wish it had different hands - these are a little thick for me and I wish they'd gone for leaf over dauphine

This is the best version of the 5270 so far. A very nice watch in isolation.

However, it falls absolutely flat once you put it next to a 5970. Patek has regressed a lot with this reference. Very similar to the regression of 3970 from 2499.

To me the 5270P salmon is the better looking watch as the "heavier" numerals provide a counterweight to the below center subdials (which the markers on the green one fail to do). The specific green is a great color but I am wondering if people will remain hot on those louder green dials some years down the road.

Incredible - a dream piece for me. Unfortunately well out of my budget.

Love the 5270, I currently have the J version which I like due to the traditional opaline dial which affords great legibility and a traditional PP vibe to me.

Another J owner - it's a classic Patek.

Have to see it in green in person sometime soon.

By the way, why does Watchcharts label the 5270P as 77% price risk, and data implies it takes month (best case) to sell one by a dealer?

Used to own the salmon 5270p, I still think the WG blue no chin is the best iteration of the 5270.

Wow !congratulations on a grail timepiece . I would consider trading my 5327 G for one but don’t like the idea of having to keep it manually wound . Afraid I would be enslaved to winding the rest of my life , ha .How does you handle that ? Thanks james in San Antonio

Not a fan of the green 5270P and agree re WG blue no chin. But in the end I'd keep it simple and go 5170P over any 5270.

110% on the 5170p, that dark blue dial paired with the diamond baguette markets is perfection.

120% for sure. I like just winding and putting it on - no setting date and other complications. And it is truly beautiful.

own both 5270P and 5170P. I think this is the best iteration of the 5270, pairs perfectly with the 5170P

I like the 5270, but IMO the 5970 is the best perpetual calendar chrono that Patek (or any manufacturer) has produced.
