How to get a new Basel 2019 Model

So was thinking about the current waiting lists and how ridiculous it all is for a SS sports watch.

If Basel for example bring out a new "batman" with a new movement or a jubilee strap, will this start a brand new waiting list with the AD's or will the people on the list for the old movement and oyster strap still get first refusal on these?

Start asking them now. Talk about it as if it’s a matter of fact.

Can you get the desirable models from your AD now?

In other words, how good a customer are you because that will be just as important as being the first to ask with many AD’s. More important actually.

Ordering it in 2014 would have been the plan.

After this year I know how Basel works at my dealer. The morning after the salespeople and managers will have a huddle to compare what their clients want and lists will be made. If there’s any room left lesser known customers might be added. They have learned from experience to limit the numbers taken by what they expect to get.
I also know it works, I’m wearing my BLRO as I type.

But I see the tide turning soon with the stock market down, not that I wish for.

If these past few years were any indication.... new models will be sourced, prioritized, and provided to long standing VIP $$$$ clients with solid AD relationships first (and then everyone else)

A "list" might be created just to keep track who wants one of the new 2019 models. That said, even if you are the first to call and get on this imaginary "list" unless you are a "long standing VIP $$$$ client with solid AD relationship" you will without a doubt get bumped when the VIP $$$$ comes calling regardless of your place in line.

Most VIP $$$$ will not have to call for 2019 timepieces and will likely receive a call from the AD to see if they're interested in the most recent releases.

There will be pecking order:
1) VVVVVIP
2) VVVVIP
3) VVVIP
4) VVIP
5) VIP
6) non-VIP but history with AD
7) no history with AD
So if you're number 7) even if you are the first to call and listed as #1, you will be bumped in favor of clients who are 1 through 6

Hmm, when Nancy Pelosi gets back from Hawaii you can ask her, she knows most everything.

If you're a good customer they know what you like and don't like, they will call you...
