After 22 Rolex watches it's time for ROO - QUESTION tho

I'm looking one one of the sites and see a 2017 that is unworn/new.

For something sitting 8 years on the shelf would I expect the watch to need to immediately go in for service or should it run strong, no issues w old oil or seals or the like??

Thoughts?

I went into the boutique and tried on the new baby blue chrono ROO. I lived it, said I must have it - oh the laughs from the sales guy.

2017 unworn a good move or no?

Thank you.

It might, but they should be able to put in on a timegrapher to find out how it is running. If not, just be sure that a service (probably $1800 range in Clearwater) is reflected in the price.

If you don’t want to wait especially for that baby blue dial you are gonna need to go grey.

Welcome to a whole new level sir.

I think you mean this one right? I tried it on and surprisingly thought it was good, because I normally hate watches over 13mm thick.

Wears really nice with a beast mode sporty presence

This is what I was looking at... 42mm, navy dial, orange sub dial hands & orange chronograph hand. Comes on a navy rubber strap but I thought that AP deployant clasp is something special and I'd love to find one on leather with thst clasp.

Yes that is gorgeous. I looked at him and said why did you show me the nicest one that I can never get? We had a laugh. Beautiful watch wow!

The watch pictured above was not in production yet in 2017 FYI. Not sure if we are crossing wires here somewhere

Sorry - I am looking at a 2017 on one of the sites that sells watches by trusted sellers.

I walked into the local boutique to try one on before I was to buy the one online.

The guy showed me the baby blue. I said omg forget the navy dial I want THIS!!! The guy laughed at me because it's so rare.

Then the guy with the picture said "this is the one you wanted eh?" to flex he had it and it's a nice flex, no doubt.

Sometimes context can be lost in text, hope that helps.

But the uno reverse? I bought a PAM01360 with the sunburst blue dial about 45 minutes ago at the local Panerai boutique.

You know, after trying on the baby-blue ROO the Navy wasn't that awesome for me anymore and I figured I would just bide my time and see what comes up for me in the ROO world. But not now. Got my navy fix with the bitempo gmt 72 hour reserve for now.

Thanks for the support i'll be creeping in the shadows for now.

I dont think that particular ROO is that hard to get as a first piece. might have to wait a bit, but I think it's worth a shot to just keep following up with your SA and see where it goes. I'm sure within 12 months you can get it at retail. it's probably worth looking up what the gray market prices are too...I highly doubt this one is selling above retail.

I can't say if they're "selling" above retail, but they're listed above retail.
