5711R - no pre-owned?!
aside from resellers, i very rarely (never!) see actual owners selling theirs.
i guess it's a model that most owners won't let go. bad for me but i'd imagine i'd be the same. |

i don't think they make that many at all. just a guess though. Plus it hasn't really been flippable for very long so that could change.
Its a great value and a beautiful watch at retail currently though vs the crazy SS prices.

Have you still not found one? I suppose it makes sense as the resales are climbing pretty fast now so must be few about.

The market for 5711 in SS is much bigger than 5711-1R as I think most people will opt for SS and also SS version has been around for much longer. Be patient and wait and one will eventually surface. Alternatively, see if one of your ADs can put you on their waiting list. I waited almost one year for mine.
That said, for sure I am not selling mine anytime soon.

To me the 5711-R is undoubtedly the most beautiful nautilus. However pulling off full rose gold is tough - it might be ok with a long sleeve but most professional environments its tough. I've had one since March and it gets very little wrist time as a result.

Man what a difference a few months makes. Found 3 brand new back in November or December. Two from ADs, one from Takuya. Got one for myself; facilitated a buy of the other for a friend. All three were about 6% under retail.

It's a piece that tugs at the heartstrings, and difficult to part with, for me anyway. I was lucky to pick mine up shortly before the 20% rise on the steel variant (which had a knock on effect on 5711R prices)

The rose gold and brown gradient dial combination is hands down one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. If only I could pull off rose gold... Which I can't... Have tried... Didn't work out...

I remember walking into Razny in Chicago on Christmas Eve 2017 and there was one of these sitting in the case. I loved it, but I don't think I can pull off full RG on a bracelet. Oh, how times have changed!

Actually, can just wear it under a jacket or sleeve so it's not too showy and avoid unwanted attention. I love full gold bracelet watches as I got three.

I love the RG but i couldnt wear it as i prefer more understated watch and hence prefer more boring white metals.i did iwn an 116655 for a period...i think its also cultural with some nationalities / markets prefer RG and i guess others WG....it may also be a fashion...YG has come and gone....maybe we going into a RG resurgence

Maybe try getting some tats and then some other nice gold bracelets along side. That's the younger approach to pulling it off with panache'. Baller style!
