My daily beating watch

What watch do yo wear to to bear the brunt of your daily beating? :)

Mine is the Sub C 114060!

My job is desk bound based.

Damn can’t post pics of my watch yet!

I rotate daily pretty often. I try to give everything a bit of wrist time. Lately I’ve been wearing my 16710’s and my new TT sea dweller a lot.

I rotate daily between my DJ41 and my Sub. The Sub is only 1 month old. The DJ41 is more senior by 9 months and has a lot more scratches. I love them both. I've been using the Sub's bezel a lot for tracking elapsed time. Pictured is an old photo.

When my Rolex is not at the shop getting repaired, I alternate between Grand Seiko diver SBGA 231 and the Air King.

42mm black Explorer II for my daily GADA watch. I baby some of the others, but never the Explorer II. It's a beast.

After 4 years of nearly daily wear there's barely a scratch on it.

^^^^ this exactly for me as well. It's rugged, yet refined. I still seem to find myself wearing this the most even while owning a few other "hot" model GMT's.

I don't own any watches right now that cannot be a daily. I change every month or two to a different one, Sub, GMT, Daytona etc.

On reflection, seems I have three ‘beaters’. Patek 5066a, Rolex BLNR (vers 1) or Casio G-Shock. Depends on how I’m feeling, where I’m going, and the activity I’m undertaking (in that order of intensity, least to most). I don’t really think of the Patek as a beater, but it’s my default watch, like a second skin, and is pretty much the default everyday wear, so it should go on the list.

what a great attitude. Kudos

I'm in the market right now for another. I'm avoiding anything too bling - because I don't want a watch I cannot wear anywhere. I had a line on a Pepsi that I thought would be too noticeable, if I'm buying a watch I want to be able to go anywhere and everywhere in it.

How is the watch that you wear to an office a beater?

Is a beater now the same as a daily?

I'm not keeping up.

In my case, I don’t have an office job, and I’m pretty active, so I think my everyday watch’s load is akin to many people’s “beater”. Only activities I won’t use the Patek for under any circumstances are running and swimming. My brother goes to the gym with a Golden Ellipse, though, so maybe I’m being too careful.

Daily beating? I’d rather not time it

I have an office job and my daily is the 116520 or white Milgauss. I also travel regularly and usually bring the Milgauss.

As per my answer to the cooking thread. When I'm working, my daily is whatever one came out of rotation on that day. If I'm travelling abroad I take my Polar.

Just depends...I wear all my watches. My preference for beach and vacations seems to be Pelagos or Explorer II

Beater is a gshock, gets about an hour wristtime a day. Don’t know the model number hahaha, but I know it’s a cheap tank and dont care about it getting smashed in the gym (where you can’t focus on beautiful mechanical watches) and it has stopwatch, 1/100 timer and world time oh and alarm. Pretty perfect as a beater to me, I’m not super rich and even when I get there I will only use a gshock as a beater

Easily my 16610. I’ve had it over 8.5 years now and it’s on my wrist most of the time for whatever I’m doing. Yard work, pool, chasing my toddler...
