Just wanted to get thoughts from anyone on the GMT Master 2 with ceramic bezel...comfort, style, adjustable band, night readibility, crown comfort, design...and anything you may want to address. I'm very close to buying one and wanted to get some opinions...thanks in advance.

Welcome to TRF fazman!!!!!!

The GMT IIC just happens to my Fav Rolex at the moment!!!

It fits ,looks and feels great IMO and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one at all....In fact I eventually plan to get the SS as I already have the TT just because I like it that much..!Enjoy our site here,jump in anytime and post pics when you pull the trigger and buy your Rolex!!

I love the SS - always spends a lot of time on my wrist. Can't go wrong with this watch and there are a lot of fans on this forum!

Welcome to TRF! You get one, put it on your wrist and will not take it off for a long, long time. Very comfortable. Fantastic watch. I am sure, you will love it!

Don't even think about it twice. Awesome watch. It is my first (of many to come) Rolex. I have a panerai that i love but has taken a back seat to the GMT as a daily wearer. I use the panerai to go out to dinner.

Everyone...Thanks for the comments...I just purchased one from my local AD today and I am thrilled so far...and I know it takes time to really know if it's a keeper. I have been collecting automatics for about 10 years...Omega, Tag, Oris, Rado, Sector and Seiko mostly divers. I have found that my gut feel stays with me...and when I tried this watch on Saturday, along with every other available Rolex style they make...this one was special.

Once I spend the time to learn to post pictures, I will. I always hesitated when considering a Rolex purchase because of the hollow links, the clasp and the general "light" heft of the subs and GMT's...but I like the changes Rolex made to this watch...including the easy clasp adjustment, the bezel and the inside counterfeit Repeated ROLEX markings. The crown is great, but tough understanding why it is only rated 100M, but then again I only dive about 4 feet.

My IIc was my first 'good' watch...Next Sunday (15Nov) will be 2 years since I bought it.
I wear it every day, and have the scratches to prove it- I LOVE it!
Good to hear you got one and I'll be surprised if you don't find yourself wearing it all the time.
FWIW- search for the 'GMT IIc Clasp Failure' thread and then check your band/screw.

Can't wait for some pictures. Today is the second day I have not worn mine since I got it (trying to break in a new leather band on my Tisssot) and I am jonesing for a IIc fix

Can't wait to get home and get the GMT back on.

Thanks for the comments...I've had my GMT2C for 5 days now. it is "dead on" for time against time.gov. I've had 20 plus swiss autos over the years and never had that happen in the first week of ownership or ever for that matter! The watch, to me represents many Rolex innovations...from clasp to band to crown to case to ceramic bezel, to hairspring...I'm very impressed. This Rolex is my first, but certainly not may last. And this group seems like a straight shooting direct group of people, quite refreshing.

My GMT was running like 2~3 secs. slow per day when it was new just over a month ago. Now it's spot on with virtually zero deviation.
