Could you be more specific (i.e. when did Rolex first put...; when did Rolex put "Swiss Made" vs. "Swiss" vs. "Swiss T<25", etc.)

I know that most Rolex watches from the '30s and '40s (and likely late '20s) had such a designation on the dial, but not all. I have a 1938 Tonneau (in my avatar) without any such designation, but was told by James Dowling that at that time, watches sold in Switzerland were not marked, only those exported.

I was referring to the professional line of watches, ones made after the 50s on up.

My x-wife received an old 5512 Sub as a gift. She showed it to me and there was no "Swiss" anywhere on the dial. After researching I could not find a dial w/o "Swiss" somewhere on the dial, not one.

On some models with a minute track dial like the one posted I have seen only the upper half of the word, "Swiss" visable.

I should have said I know of no sports model w/o "Swiss" somewhere on the dial. Sorry for the confusion. =) maverick
