What is a "fair" price for a D series 16610 LV??

Hey all, I am looking to add a SS Sub to my small (but growing) collection and I have found one locally that a guy is willing to sell for $3,900. It is a 2006 D series rated in excellent condition with all original receipts, boxes, tags, links, etc. It was purchased from a local AD in February 2007. I have been looking around and this seems to be a fair price. Should I jump on this one or keep looking?!

Thanks!

Willing buyer and willing seller.....

This type of thread created some real issues just yesterday.

I suggest you do a search in the classified forum for "16610 LV" and look at previous listed watches for sale.

Note the initial asking prices of the sellers and then note any price reductions until the watch is announced as sold. Compare photos of the various offerings as to asking price versus condition and accessories. Also do this on Timezone.com and Watchnet.com. You should get a good feel for what constitutes a fair price based on prior, recent sales... like a real estate appraiser... look at the "comps".

Remember that condition of the watch, age, provenance (papers) , books, original boxes, service history all effect the price. Is fully inssured shipping included or extra? payment method costs...paypal fees versus bank wire fees?

Do the research yourself and you will learn a lot. What I may think is a fair price others may think is too high or low as was the case yesterday.

Good luck.

I think 3900 is fair as well. Is MSRP still 6400?

3900 is a very very good price especially if the watch is in excellent condition and complete (box, papers e.t.c).
