Please, Your Input Gentlemen...

on this Box would be very welcome

Here it is, sitting on the Boxset my 18K GMT II came in so you know its size...

Another chance to gauge size....

This is blue felt underneath - no reference number

Dots on the crown are smaller toward centre...

No padding or 2nd liner here...

Awesome - thankyou!!

Kia Kaha from Aotearoa!

sorry Harlan, that box is a new one on me so cannot really be constructive here.

I would make some critical points though, the green coronet on the top of the box is just printed onto the timber and not very well done either, I would have thought that a, solid metal of some sort, coronet would have been more appropriate here. The blue underside also makes me wonder. No reference no.....all of my Rolex box's have ref no.s.....

Purely a guess but if pushed into a corner I would say not by Rolex. I happily stand to be corrected.

Not one that I have seen before, unless it was for a ladies, maybe late 70's to early 90's, I first thought it was for the rolex president series 80's to 90's from the outer cardboard box, but the coronet design on the outside of the wooden box is not correct for that era, and the "Of Geneva" I haven't seen that before on a Rolex box. I'm hinging toward fake, but I could be wrong, as even Cellini range might have used this, its just that outer box that has me thinking wrong.

Just to make sure I've not tried to confuse anybody - the Green Outer Box isn't part of or attached to the little wood one in any way - it's just something that was out on the window sill and used to gauge the size of the wood box....

Darn it can't find anyone who thinks this box is genuine - I am 70/30 myself and think its probably not a Rolex Box

Darn it - no one is familiar with this box which likely indicates it is not Rolex

Don't think it's genuine, Harlan.

Since you're in Auckland, why not take it over to Lord Ponsonby's (corner of Williamson Ave. and Ponsony Road) and meet David there. Tell him I sent you. He's pretty good with these things and will be able to authenticate it almost immediately.

Good luck - JJ

Good idea - I can do that and am starting to be more sure myself about this box as well.....I have not been able to find one the same and compared to all the wood Rolex Boxes we have at home this one is the only only which actually feels weird

Irrespective, I still think it's a beautiful looking box, Harlan. Just keep it. Who cares if it's authentic or not.

At least it's not a fake Rolex!!

Looks real nice though. My uncle and aunt have this pair of vintage Rolex Boxes, it has silk or wool on the front with a nice pattern. I've never seen anything like it.

Team,

I did the right thing when I bought the box from out local ePREY in New Zealand as followed 'Rule 1' and 'Bought the Seller' and had as a consequence lesser concerns as to authenticity because I knew the 'Seller' himself was genuine - there is no issue at all in getting a refund - its only US$35/NZ$50 we're talking anyway.

My only wish, was that someone said it looked genuine so I didn't need to consider posting it back
