My watchstory and way to the SUB LV!
In many years I was the dude who always said "Who needs a watch? I have my celluarphone"
Then I got with a fake Breitling Quartz 3 years ago (im against the fake industry)and loved it, the details were so nice that I started to explore the watch industry and then realised what a wonderful world there was out there! When I saw the real Breitling I understood why mine was fake and now decided fast to get the real one but the price (5500Euro) was to high for me.... A year of searching of another watch began. Suddenly my eyes were hooked on the Omega Planet Ocean with black bezel. I started to save money and after 8 months of drinking cheap beer and hard work I finally got my 3000euro Now the swiss made watch was going to be mine! But 5 days before i was going to buy it a sad situtaion happened in and I was forced to spend half of my PO budget I couldnt belive it! My dream was crushed but my consolation was that I did a good thing for the money... Now I had to start over saving or finding a cheaper watch... I found the TAG HEUER Aquaracer and bought it real fast! I was really happy and loved it for 2 weeks... Why only two weeks? Beacuse I found ROLEX SUBMARINER 16610 LV on this forum I was so in love with it, it blew my mind and I couldnt admit to myself that I now wanted a new watch again. Using the aquaracer always reminded me what I really wanted - the LV, I could not really get in love with the Tag Now my real exploring began, I learned what real swiss watchmaking was, watch many dossens of youtube videos about Rolex, getting registred here and reading posts everyday to learn more and more. The history was so impressive and the passion people has for Rolex is so amazing that I want to be a part of it. I decided to save money for my first new Rolex! My plan was to buy it May 2011 but after really hard working months i have oppurtunity to by the LV when the pay check arrive the 25 january Have already minimized the bracelet om my Aquaracer and gave it to my girlfriend just so Im not able to wear it I love that its a inhouse movement, feels like a real manufactur, the green bezel is really me, its a submariner that people either hates or love , and more rare then the black Sub, the quality of the details and of course all the TRF friends the watch gives me is worth a lot! Im very excited and hardly cant wait to buy it and I want u TRF friends to convince me even more to buy it! Is that a hard thing for you to do? Hope u liked my story and hope to see you soon and for many years! Thank you////mascot - new family member of TRF p.s. the fake breitling is in the trashcan looooong time ago |

I "settled" on another black 16610 recently (my 3rd over the years) and am already trying to finagle my way to the LV - you will love it!

A wonderful story. You will be made up when you finally get it and the wait will be worth wild. I have a LV which I prefer over the black bezel because you don't see that many of them out in the wild. The green really is a fabulous choice.

That is a great story, sounds similiar to my story. You shouldn't need convincing on this one, it either sings to you or it doesn't. If you are all giddy about it now, just wait til you purchase one, it gets a million times better, trust me, I know. I can't hardly take it off. You will not be disappointed one bit. I know I wasn't, because I had saved and sold every watch I collected for years to buy just this one awesome time piece and I am so proud to be wearing a Rolex. Good luck and hopefully you get it sooner than later.

Great story and can't wait to see your post when you get it. I always wanted a rolex but couldn't justify spending the money on one... until recently when I realized that buying a gently used one meant that I could hopefully sell it for near what i paid for it. Of course I do not want to sell it. A pic of mine, I really want to wear it everyday but don't let myself!

After wearing my 5513 sub since 1978, last October I decided to purchase another sub to celebrate my retirement. I bought a LV sub. I was NOT disappointed. Love the LV. I have been wearing it every day, except Fridays. That is the day I wear my 5513.
