Gmt 16700

After a loooooong break from wearing it, I decided to dust off the cobwebs, and install a new insert, the original was pretty faded, even though it was not worn that much, it looked like it had been under the sun for years. The serial number is a "U", for all the experts out there, what year production does that belong to?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!!

Sorry about the crappy pics, couldn't find my real camera!!!

Nice 16700...

A "U" serial number would be late 1997 production. Here is a great site for all of us GMT-philes....
