Casio Pathfinder PAW1500 watch?

I know it's not $5k or so, but I need a decent outdoors watch with all the bells and whistles - plus not worrying about breaking or losing it.

What's your thoughts on this model?

Better not misplace the manual.....

Can't go wrong with a Casio.

Good choice.

I have been using the Casio Sea Pathfinder for almost 10 years now.

I am on my second one now, purely for the reason that replacing all 4 batteries and having the seal replaced was going to cost almost as much as a new one.

I have had no problems with the watch and I wear it in some pretty rough conditions (Deep water Drilling rig in West Africa).

I went for the plastic / rubber strap so as not to absorb chemicals, drill mud etc.

The Sea Pathfinder is slightly more "rounded" and therfore easier to clean when covered in crud.

Good luck.

i have had a PAW1500T with titanium bracelet before.

the watch was pretty big. the rotating compass bezel looks great. but the large case makes the LCD looks small.

the 1500 wasn't as comfortable as my old PAW1300T for my wrist size. and the 1500 only has 60 min count down timer (vs. PAW1300 and the new PAW2000 has 24hr CDT if that matters to you). the 1500 does give you info on moonphase and tidegraph though.

the WR200M is a nice upgrade and should makes the buttons operateable under water. but i never have any problem with my WR100M either

overall, the 1500 looks good, but i do prefer the 1300 or 2000 because of the 24hr CDT and slimmer profile
