A very subjective question...
For me it's the TT but the most sort after is the SS!!! It's all up to your own taste....

I don't really like TT watches so I would go with the SS. I think it's a matter of personal taste though.

SS or TT if you're over 50 then gold adds sophistication

For me I think the SS is the most beautiful. The TT on the Daytona doesn't look as good in my opinion.

TT offers better value for money (discount off MRSP vs full MRSP for S/S). Also, there are more dial options - black, white, mother-of-pearl, champagne gold, slate grey, with/without precious stones).

Quite simple the one you prefer,IMHO the TT are far nicer watch. The S.steel models because they have always been hard to get, are perhaps now just a fashion statement for that main factor.

Strange for me I seem to only prefer the single tone on a Daytona which is the SS or the WG and I prefer the black TT on the new submariner.

I think the TT Daytona is a forgotten watch in the Rolex line up, so many people ignore it in favour of the SS Daytona. I'd personally take the TT any day over the SS, especially when you can get such great looking dials on it. I'd recommend one of three: Blue arabic, black, or the white arabic "panda" dial. If you want a truly "rare" modern Daytona, TT is the way to go

For me--The SS--the TT is nice but again--it all comes down to your taste. The SS has great resale--if that is going to be a factor.

For obvious reasons, the SS is the best choice.
But if you are going for TT, go for one with diamonds =P |

I have the TT with the white face and it is stunning. I have plenty of SS so I have the versatility if I need it. The TT gets a lot of heads turning when I wear it.

I have the SS but after wearing it for a number of years now don't know why more don't opt for the TT.

Better deals can be had on the TT!! If I can save 3K buy buying TT instead of SS, I'd learn to live with the gold.

I prefer TT, generally and have been eyeing a TT Daytona. The TT is the better value. However, I tried on a SS Daytona at the watch place, the other day, and was really impressed with the look. The SS Daytona is very dressy looking and a lot less sporty looking than I expected. It also wears smaller, IMO, than the other 40mm watches.

I like the TT but have always LOVED the SS, I came close to buying a TT last year but I didn't.
I was afraid that as soon as I bought a TT Daytona, an AD would find me the SS that I really, really wanted. I was at a business conference a few months ago and saw one in the "wild" and I have to say, it looks great! My vote, pick the one you love, not the one that is easier to get or you think will hold value. At the end of the day, you have to smile every time you look at your wrist! -Isn't that what Rolexes are for?! :-) -Pete

TT or YG. If you are going to spend that kind of money you should get the precious metal. Gold always looks nice too.

I am still deciding between the two and it is one of the most difficult
decisions I have had in my life. I guess like somebody mention you can't go wrong with either. We need more feedback and pics from those who have or had both. |
