Submariner Newbie...

What is the difference betwen the 14060 non-COSC and COSC version? (aside from the writing on the dial and the certification obviously)

Also I see some pictures of Submarines and they have ROLEX written on the inside of the dial on the steel (like picture below) Do all Subs have this? certain models? certain years?

Thanks!

Well, the COSC and non-COSC models are, in fact, identical. The only change really is what's written on the dial. My guess is that Rolex wanted the whole range to be COSC certified for promotional reasons more than anything. They did the same thing with the Air King as well.

As for the engraved rehaut ring (the ROLEXROLEXROLEX motif on the ring of metal between the dial and the crystal) was introduced on some watches, I believe, around the D-Serial (I think that was 2007). Every watch in the current line up now has it

Hope this helps

The engraved rehaut was introduced in Z line up in some models and in M in others. Some of the early M's --like the Sub LV --do not have it. It is now standard on all of their models. I am pretty sure that is right. I actually have an M Sub LV and it is an early one without the engraved rehaut.
