IMO I cannot see anything wrong with the watch case/back, what were your concerns?

I just checked his feedback, all private auctions so you cannot see what he is selling

I am just trying to learn the fakes from the real deal. The model number and serial number are the give away for fakes? Or am I wrong?

The watch looks genuine from the pics. Notice the wear marks between the lugs, along with the stampings. The box is from the late 1970's - about a decade after the watch first graced someone's wrist.

I'm always skeptical of buying cases. They have usually been separated from their internal works for a reason.

Two red flags here... Watchout.

Thanks John for your help, I am always on the path of education on Rolex fakes and real stuff with issues.

This helps me pick out the fake stuff!

Again thanks.

So hard to tell.

I'd ignore the box - the seller probably just thinks it's better to sell it with a Rolex box than without. I'd rather have (even a wrong year/type) a box than not i guess too.

Overall - i think it's genuine.

Man I have owned a lot of 5513s but I have to agree with John on this one, watchout! Does the number stampings look a little low on the case or is it just me? Def no expert here by any means! Safe if you do decide to buy it send it to Steve M on here and let him check it out, he knows the 5513's very well. Just my .02,(Which is worth very little) Jon
