1969 ladies 6917 - HELP!
i just bought a 1969 rolex ladies 6917 but it has a 2030 movement. most websites say the 2030 was not introduced until the 1970. How could a 1969 watch have a 1970 movement? Or could it be a the 2030 movement was introudced in the 1969 and they made a mistake? help!

Rolex could just have had an older case (laying around) assembled with a newer movement.
Or it was a watch put together or restored with different parts. |

Relax
Dates of exact introduction are only known at Rolex.
All information is approximate. 6917 comes with a 2035 movement (2030+date) rotor bridge could be signed 2030. 6917 came with the 20XX only, not with an earlier 11XX 1969 isn't shocking, might be a early one. Movement was ultra modern for it's age, high beat. For comparisson: the mens Datejust took another 17 years before this improvement. Don't worry, nothing wrong. Jack |

My GMT Master was bought in 1971 but the case serial indicates a 1968 model. Like Jack said, dont sweat about it :)
