Who wears their Omega everyday ??

Hi all,
I've been thinking, I've been wearing my Black Monster practically everyday since I got it (about 4-5 months ago now) and my Omeags have been hardly getting any wrist time at all. I probably wear my PO once every other month, and my SMP even less than that. Now, I feel like just wearing one of my Omegas for my "everyday' watch for like one month, then "rotate" on a per-month basis.
I guess what I'm saying is my intent to buy a "beater/everyday" watch is causing me to miss my other watches. After all, what did we spend thousands of hard earned $$$ for ? Them to sit in the safe/box/etc. ??

What are your thoughts on the matter, and how many of you actually USE your Omega as your everyday wearer ??

Usually I wear an Omega on weekdays, but on weekends I switch it up a bit.

Mike, I switch around quite a bit, but I wear my "good" watches all the time. Life is just to short.

I wear my 45.5 PO almost every day. I found the omega rubber strap gave the watch a diffrent personality and changes it up. So when i want a more casual look, I put the rubber strap on or change back to the bracelet for a classic look. I must switch the strap/bracelet around every 2 weeks. My Rolex is worn for dressed up atire or when I just feel like blinging it out.

I wear my PO on the weekends, I got my Breitling for the weekdays.

Wear my PO every day. I've got other watches but never wear them. For me, when I buy a new watch, it becomes the watch I wear every day and the rest just sit. I've kept watches that I swear I'd keep wearing even after I got my PO, but even they end up just sitting around.

Mike, great topic. I've been thinking about this a lot myself. I'm also fairly new to this hobby (less than 2 years now). I've purchased and traded more watches than I know what to do with. I wear my PO the least these days. My tastes change daily, but my best and most expensive watches get the least wrist time. I often feel I need to keep those for special occasions or keep them in a safe and never wear them. I wear my beaters more and wish I could wear my Rolex watches. Why can't I wear what I want????? Anyways, i've recently began to train myself into beliving life is too short and enjoy what you have now. The other thing that stinks about having too many watches is you miss out on wearing a special watch everyday for 30+ years and having it become part of you with those great battle scares. Therefore, i'm seriously thinking about selling everyting and either keeping 1-2 watches or purchasing a single watch that will never leave my wrist.

My collection is 8 to 1 Omega with the Rolex getting the least wrist time.

So I guess I wear an Omega most every day.

I tend to use my BM for work as I don't care what happens to it and because it doesn't attract too much attention, but when I go out or on weekends I like to change it up. I've heard of guys changing their watch when they get home from work. I'd say my Speedy gets the second most wrist time after the BM. How about changing every other day? You could have Monday watch, a Tuesday watch etc...

I wore my SMP everyday for seven years. Now I usually go with my Datejust and wear my Omega on rare occassions.

I'm still "up in the air" about what I'm going to do. Call me crazy, but a (small) part of me wants to sell all of my watches, and just get one watch (probably a Rolex SS Sub date) and just wear that 24/7 as my "all the time" watch, and keep it at that.
But, then again, a BIG part of me promised myself that I would NEVER sell any of my Omegas (I bought both of them brand new from an AD). The first time (back in 2002) I bought my 2531.80 and then I sold it in 2004. I had BIG TIME regrets about selling that watch, so I bought another in 2005 (one of the last years that watch was made). Hence the fact that I don't want to give it a lot of wrist time, because I want it to remain in near perfect condition. (even though it's got some very small inevitable hairline scratches on the clasp and some on the bracelet after owning it for 5+ years now)
So, I guess you can say I'm in a predicament lol
Maybe I'll just suck it up, and start wearing my good watches all the time, like they are meant to be worn in the first place.

I feel the same way about my Sub 14060M. I keep it too nice. It's not made to do that, so I need to either wear it or let it go. Another reason why I don't wear it is because it was purchased on 9/11/2001, and the watch is complete with all paperwork.

I rotate my watches out, but I wear an Omega or Rolex daily. I waited too long to buy them and be able to afford them to not wear them daily.

I feel that they should be worn, much as a fine care should be driven.

I dont mind scratches and bangs, it adds character and tells a story. Just last week I was helping a friend of mine do some repairs and upgrades on his Mustang. Two guys just working on a car on a beautiful day in Florida.

Well the wrench slipped off the bolt and I put a nice scuff in my GMT bracelet. Now, every time I see that scuff, I'll remember that beautiful day that we were working on my buddies Mustang. That to me it what a watch is all about, a lifetime of memories while keeping my time as well.

I am a one-watch kinda of girl and I love my Aqua Terra auto which I wear every day. It is elegant and tough and the same time, perfect for my everyday need. I wear it on bracelet during the week and switch to leather bands on weekends to spice it up a little.

When I saw your pictures, I checked my safe to see if mine were still there!!! Beautiful watches. You rarely see the "racing'" dial on the MK11.

I have the original box for mine too. I removed the original bracelet and wear it on a black diver's strap, it looks neat with the black dial. Next time you're out in the sunlight, examine the dial carefully, it's a work of art!!!

Unfortunatly I don't have a box, but I do have some papers that I managed to pick up from Omega during a service.
