Icon20 What kind of discount can I get from an AD?

Looking to buy a SS/18k DateJust. What kind of realistic discount can I expect to get if I'm paying with cash? Is 25% unreasonable? Thanks!

No harm in asking for 30% , they can only start negoitiations from that low point

Spot on Peter

I was offered 5%!!!! and that was after they had made several phone calls to head office to make sure it was ok for them to do so.

I went elsewhere.

Give it a shot. Like previously posted try even a bit lower so you have some room to negotiate. It helps also if you have a couple of ADs' in the same vicinity. This way you even have a better chance.

Its how ever good your bargaining skills are, don't be afraid to bargain. If AD wont simple answer just walk away and find one that will.

I've found it was very difficult to get any discount at all, in major cities anyway. And the ADs gladly let me walk out of the store after they told me they can't offer discounts on Rolexes. They usually don't have any trouble selling them, so why discount. It's depends on the model, of course, but the sport models I was looking at (all Subs, GMT, Explorer, etc...), are so popular that ADs know they can get full retail.

My AD (Ben Bridge) looked at me like I had two heads when I asked if I could get a little something off the list price of any of their Rolexes!
