GMT 16750 with box and papers
A Rolex AD asked to consign a Rolex 16520 Daytona for a customer of his that was searching for one.
The Daytona sold last week and I visited the AD to collect a check for the proceeds. I asked if by chance he had another watch for me to take in partial payment. He went to his office and returned with this GMT. It is a reference 16750 from 1985 that was purchased at Harrods in London. I believe this was the first year that the dial was changed to the later version with WG surrounds. The dial is marked Swiss-T< 25. It was fully serviced in the past month by his watchmaker . I was given all of the old parts including the crystal, mainspring and seals. Rarely do I see a 25 year old watch with box/papers/manuals and I am delighted to add this 16750 to my collection. The plastic warranty folio even has a sticker with the serial number. I have been wearing this GMT for the past 3-4 days and it is keeping excellent time. |

Mark: Very Nice Find. I have just recently picked up the exact same model without box and papers, However the watch is Brand New never worn, (story is it was won in a poker game in 1986 and put in safe deposit box ever since) with mint sticker on case. The original hangtag Number 890XXXX 30J matches number on case. The nice part of this model which I believe was only made for a couple of years is the fact it has a Quickset Movement. Enjoy your treasure, I have not worn mine yet.

Very nice, i think the older ones like the 1675 and the 16750 look nicer than the newer 16710 Pepsi.
