My GMT 1675
I finally completed my early '70s 1675. I found a nice faded insert and got its 7836 oyster bracelet refurbished by Michael Young in HK.
I like it very much. What do you think? P.S. Unpolished case! |

Very nice--matte radial dial-original hands and great bevels and lugs--what is not to like! Congrats.

Nicely done. A great match for such an historic reference.

Bracelet restore?
Great watch. Please tell me about the bracelet repair.
Cost, reason, duration. My 93150 is getting sloppy. |

Hi H Hubard,
the guy that refurbished my bracelets (this one and an american riveted) is Michael Young from Hong-Kong http://www.classicwatchparts.com (I hope it's licit put the link here). He is very well referenced on VRF. His real turn-around times is about 4-6 weeks. For a riveted or a folded oyster he asks US$65, for a solid oyster $80 plus about $20-30 for shipping it back by EMS. His work is good, not wonderful but decisely good. He can also fix reasonably well bad damaged bracelets. For the price I think it's definitely worth it. If your oyster is rather loose, it will approx. shorten by one link after restoration. |
