Rolex value going up?

Hello to TRF

In the last few months I have bought and sold many rolexes. It was the easiest way to justify the cost to my wife, that I might make a little money on this side.

In the last 6 months the cost of purchasing a Rolex has went up quite a bit, ex: 16610 from $5995 to $7295. I am guessing that should make the value of vintage and more recent models go up as well. Would that be correct and how long till we see it in watchmaker appraisals and preowned prices?

Also I have heard China is buying up allot of Rolexes, should that affect the value as well? Supply and Demand!

Always looking to make sure I am up on trends.

Thanks!
