Mystery Watch ID???
Here is a watch, the model unknown to me. I see that it says Milus. The back of the watch has the number 940.007.
I notice that the face is not centered, and this worries me... Anyone have any idea? |

A not-so-helpful email from Milus regarding the ID of this watch:
"Dear Sir, Milus has been a new company since 2003 and unfortunately we do not have memorabilia regarding watches that have been manufactured since 1919 and until 1997 when the Junod family closed Milus. The son of the founder passed away last year and therefore there is nobody who could help us. Very sorry for the bad news. Best regards" |

Familiar situation
Kind of like Llama firearms, a lot of them around, some from the 1930s to through the 1940s valuable, but the company effectively closed down in the l;ate '90s, then completely in the early '00s, and there's no information to be found, although they can be dated by their proof marks.

I forgot I had it, so it was a nice surprise to see again, as it has not been worn a single day. This watch was purchased roughly 20+ years ago by my father, so the current Milus folks are not in any way useful.
SOMEBODY knows about this thing! |
