Without a link to the auction or pictures of the watch, there is no way any of us can help you!

If you get the watch and it is in good condition; you should be very happy with your purchase....... Do you have some reason to think that you are making a mistake ??
give us some photos when you get it and we can make a better judgement call.. ...... Is this different than the D serial that you were also going to buy ???

The last serials produced since ~2006 for the SD are D, Z, M, and V; so a D serial would be fairly recent but could be purchased for less than $6,200 in the used market.. Probably closer to $5,500
If it is not from an AD, then it is not new since somebody had to buy it from an AD in the first place, so proceed with caution.. $6,200 out the door, if it is indeed as-new and includes the SD tool-kit and extension is an OK price.. If you already won the bid on e-bay but the seller seems sketchy, you need to ensure that you follow all the proper procedures to cancel the deal and avoid potential issues on your end..
