Would a 36mm look weird/too small on my wrist?
Here is a shot of a DJ II 40mm on my 7 inch wrist. It looks just right, I am thinking of getting a 36mm DD. 4mm difference seems like a big size difference, how do you think a 36mm would do on my wrist?

It doesn't look like like you've been hittin' the Cheetos so yes a 36 will look as good on you as it did on everyone back in the 60s, before everyone started hittin' the Cheetos.

Both would look good!
The 36mm would look more subdued......but, IMHO, a Rolex wears bigger than its specs, IMHO, the DD/DJ2 wear bigger than 41mm.

if you just took a 49mm Breitling super avenger off your wrist, the 36mm will feel tiny... I am not fan of "huge" watches... I like the look of the 36m case...I think its classic...

It is all up to you, I do not think anyone will loose sleep over that they think you watch look too small on yor wrist, but I personally do NOT feel comfertable with 36mm anymore, it just feel too small for ME, I have my limit at 39mm these days!

That DJ2 looks great on you..
I'm sure the 36mm would look good too. I came close to buying a 36mm DJ a few times but never went through with it because of the size.
Try one on at your AD and see what you think. |

Get the original 36 - Can't go wrong with an all time classic and original. The DJ2 looks like it's been pimped. |

My wrist is a bit bigger than yours, between 7.25" and 7.5". I wore a 36mm TAG every day til I got my Sub.
It's all a mater of personal taste, but I certainly don't think it looks "weird"...

how about a DDII? that'd be the same size as your DJII (since you liked the size) - problem solved

Problem is the price difference! I'm considering pre-owned version before the current 36mm version with solid center link just have to find one that is mint with minimum stretch.

I've got a 7" wrist and I won't go that small. But I like my watches to fit just like yours fits. Your DJII looks perfect to me.

36mm might look a little small at first, but you would get used to it and learn to love it.

I have an 8.25 inch wrist and I think my 36mm Date Just looks great. I know the trend for many years has been larger watches but there is nothing wrong with a classy understatement 36mm Rolex DJ or DD.

36mm looks good one everyone, unless you have a HUGE wrist...
This whole ''36mm=too small'' stuff is located between the ears IMHO. 36mm wears very comfortable and looks sophisticated

It will look more classic. Perhaps you would choose to wear it in more formal settings and the larger one in more casual? That could work really well. And when the inevitable day comes when wrist clocks go out of style you will be prepared!

I have the same wrist size as you do. I also HAD the same watch. I ended up selling it and now I will wear my 36mm TT Datejust Jubilee when ever I want to. It does not feel or seem too small to me.
