Avatar upload..size is right but wont upload..driving me Crazy!!!

Hey guys...have searched in vain but cant find solution...why cant i upload avatar in User CP when i have resized in PS for 150 pixels no larger that 19 something K? I cant upload a 12K pic?? I have one but the file is so small and looks crap! How do some members have large clear Avatars??? aaaarrrggghhhh!!!

Why???

Have you tried landscape and not portrait?

yeah...makes no difference. Have checked measurement of widest side etc...makes no difference...can only upload like 12k not 19k and def not 150 pixels widest side...only 80 pixels...dont get it...not a big issue...just driving me nuts!!!!!

You mean when saving the image in PS? The levels between 1-10? The last part of saving? I want to save this pic the max size i can...

Ah, I am allowed150 x 150 or 48.8.

Why is limit variable between members? ...any ideas...??? seriously doing my head in...is there some setting im missing. All im doing is uploading from my computer...but no cigar....bloody hell...

Nah not at all...avatar is 70% smaller than recommended size!!!!...sometimes technology is unreal...sometimes it does your head in!!!!

You used a 240 resolution and it should have been lower.

I've saved, cropped, resized and uploaded your avatar, using 72dpi res.
