So I have my choice of GMT Master II 16710 either pespsi or coke bezels, they both are claimed as "unused" perhaps display models? Or a used SD 16600 k serial (2003) mint condition. The GMT is about $400 cheaper. So which would you choose and why? Thanks guys!!

Hard to believe that a BNIB D or Z serial 16710 would go for under $5k; a Y serial used SD shouldn't be going for more than $5k (unless it was just serviced). Hard to make a value assessment on what you posted.

As for which one I would choose--GMT Pepsi all the way. Classic watch, uber comfortable (as opposed to the SD), and getting harder to come by.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately in my area there are no SD or 16710 models for me to try in person. So I have to go based on videos and pictures.

GMT II pepsi... Its 2in1... You get your current time and you also get whatever time you want on the 24hr hand... Sounds logical to me! You get more bang for your buck. I loved mine!... Should have never got rid of mine...

My choice would be the GMT Pepsi. I just like the way it looks, plus there are so many options with this watch. You can always get the Coke and all black inserts. It looks great on the oyster and jubilee bracelets as well.

lol, you guys are not making it any easier. I do apprecaite all of your opinions. But at this moment I may be leaning towards the GMT II pepsi since I saw this video that you can change the vezels with a total of 3 colors. It be like having 3 watches?

if you want a diver, get the SD, as it's an amazing piece, but, if having a diver isn't critical, i'd go gmt for the reasons everyone's stated.

Without fully understanding the pricing aspect here, I'd pick GMT-- either one. I kind of like the coke better.

ok guys! once again thanks for taking the time to help me out. As I stated before, I don't have acces to these watches so pictures and videos is all I got. Thats why I wanted other opinions incase there was something about either watch that I should be aware of. Thank you all!!

Both are great and I currently own both. The SD does wear "larger" than the GMT based on the case thickness and IMHO I think the GMT has to be one of the most comfortable watches I have ever worn.

I personally like the added weight of the SD but some do not. Its not alot but most certainly noticeable when compared to the GMT

Very easy decision, the SD is a cool piece but the versatility of the GMT is unmatched by any other Rolex. As already suggested, pick up the other inserts & a Jubilee & you'll have an extremely comfortable watch that you can completely change the look of in a matter of minutes. Really great attribute when you're ready for something different but don't want to spend the coin on a new watch. An extra cool factor, Magnum P.I. wore one....enough said.

If you already have a Rolex diver, get the GMT. Otherwise, get the SD. They're both great watches, you can't really go wrong with either.
