Gilt.com Vintage Rolex Sale on right now

Not sure if anyone is aware but they are having another one of those Hodinkee Rolex sales right now (12pm EST).

Haven't seen the prices, but apparently everything is under $4k. Most watches seem to be vintage Air Kings. All come on NATOs.

Seem pricey in my opinion but wanted to give a heads up to everyone.

What a scam... you can pick any one of those watches up for around $2,000. I feel sorry for the hipsters who ordered them from Gilt.

I love Gilt, but the prices on the watches sold by Hodinkee on Gilt are ridiculously high.

Q. How did the hipster burn his mouth?

A. He ate his pizza long before it was cool.

On a serious note, i guess it's what happens when one is not aware that the pre-owned Rolex market is alive, well and thriving and there are many many choices to pick from... one just has to look and research and come to great forums like this to educate themselves...
a lot of people seem to think that Rolex is in a sense "unattainable" by mere mortals and that paying "under 4k" for a watch that isn't even complete is considered a bargain...

After this big sale ends, in a month or so they will probably have a sale for "Rolex Bracelets" - You know, to match to your new watch with NATO strap that you just bought....
